Cow Ribs — Restaurant in Medina Province

Visited Cow Ribs to try some Texas Style BBQ in Madinah and we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance and service was excellent! We ordered the Cow Ribs Platter, which includes brisket, Dino Ribs and Beef cheek; brisket burger, dynamite chicken, Spanish rice and a Ceasars salad.

The seasoning of the brisket, Ribs, and beef cheek was very good. Great bark as well. The meat was tender, but in the case of the brisket, a little too tender as it fell apart at the touch. The beef cheek was probably the best on the platter. Smoke flavor was lacking in each of the smoked items, though. Also, the meat did not seem to be sliced fresh, as the color of the meat darkened, and that happens when the sliced meat has been exposed for too long.

The dynamite chicken, rice and salad were all very good as well.

All in all, it was a good visit and worth it! One downside is that they have two sections to the restaurant, a downstairs and upstairs. When we arrived, we were asked to go to the family section upstairs. The only issue is that right in the middle of the family section, they've made a small play area for young kids. The food was really good. We got different options. We had the Cowribs Wagyu Smoked Platter, grilled steak, brisket quesadillas, dynamite prawns, mac and cheese balls 3 different cocktails and a crème brûlée to finish it off.

All the food was to a high standard, the meats were really soft and cooked well. The flavours of the rub and sauces were very tasty. The loaded fries with the platter were really good. The dynamite prawns and mc and cheese balls were really fresh and tasty and the sauces that come with it, really elevates it.

Being from the UK, I didn’t except this type of quality food but wow it was amazing.

Only downside I could say is the air con is on high power which makes the food get colder much quicker.

What made the experience even better was the service from Mohammed Azmut. He was exceptional. He was a very good server and is a very hard worker. He was doing a lot around other tables too while other staff members didn’t show the same urgency to do hard and quick efficient work. Showed he really cares for the work and customers. He was really caring and explained the menu well and gave us pointers on what is good to get for a group of 3. Thank you Mohammed.
