Shing Yang Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Medina Province

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting a Chinese restaurant that used to be my favorite in Madinah, and I must say that it was the worst branch I have ever been to. The quality of the dishes had completely changed, and it was truly disappointing.

Of the many dishes we ordered, the chicken with pineapple was the worst. Not only did it taste bad, it also had a bad smell. It was undercooked. When I brought it up to the supervisor, Hala, I was met with a dismissive attitude. She responded, “I will give you the same number of pieces in the plate,” in a rude tone, as if I was responsible for my experience and she was the one paying for the dishes.

The lack of professionalism that Hala displayed was shocking. Her rude manner is unacceptable in the hospitality industry, where customer service is paramount. It was clear that she was not suited to a role that requires effective communication and customer care.

Additionally, it was disappointing to see that the management seemed unable to properly address customer concerns. Although they reached out to me to offer compensation, their intentions seemed sincere. Despite my insistence that I did not need compensation or extra food, the employee continued to pressure me and ultimately failed to fulfill...

I would like to express my gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Mr. Mahdi during our visit to the restaurant. His professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality truly made our dining experience exceptional. He ensured every detail was perfect, from prompt service to understanding our needs without hesitation. Such dedication and positive attitude reflect high standards, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his work. A true asset to the team
