Shurfa Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Olaya

Review time: So this place was recommended by a Saudi Friend of mine. It's an Egyptian restaurant. This was my first time visiting to this place. It's a nice, cosy, well decorated place. Well maintained and strictly following the covid guidelines. They have a sitting inside and outside. But since the weather was cold we preferred sitting inside . Loved the ambience though ❤️ Couldn't take much pictures

Coming to the food We ordered : Tea Mixed kabab platter Baked Macaroni Lamb chops Hummus Cold Drink Chocolate lava cake

The food was good and it was served hot. The meat was soo good and juicy. The baked Macaroni was perfect for the kids since it wasn't spicy but had just perfect flavours. A bit more on the expensive side compared to the quantity served. But overall the food was good. They also have a good range of deserts like cheesecake, umm Ali , different types of kunafa though Didn't try it out yet. They had a variety of seafood too. Again didn't try the seafood yet. Maybe next time.

I always pass by this place on my way to work. I always wanted to try it out. Tonight was the night, and I wish we didn’t. We came for coffee and dessert. There were about 8 different coffee items on the menus, they said 6 of them are not available, they only had Turkish and Arabic coffee. We were about to leave but we thought let’s give it a chance since we are already here. We ordered Turkish coffee and Notella Qashtota. The sweet arrived first, warm and mushy, the coffee came 10 min later, I had to get up and ask for it. I wasn’t sure why they didn’t serve them together. We had a few sips of the coffee and couldn’t continue drinking. It was by far one of the worst Turkish coffee we have tried. We decided we had enough, so we got up and left.

Extremely bad customer experience. Didn’t feel welcome at the entrance. We had to get the staff attention to order. No one came to check on us and how we are doing.

The place got potential, but it needs the right management to be in control. The competition is tough, the customer journey matters the most. We...

🔴❌One of the worst food maker in the world.. taste is so bad, food quality is miserable.. i couldn’t even remember such negativity since 15 years ago… if u r hungry OR good taster .. don’t go to this mechanic shop.. good to have cup of tea.. maybe !!!❌🔴

We order: Grilled Fish ( not bad but not even comparable for entry level restaurants) Fried Fish ( covered with heavy wall of rusk with no taste ) (2 Grilled shrimp) size of shrimp is really funny.. 🐛 and couldn’t believe the sour taste until now.. Murabian مربين .. Shrimp is tiny even smaller than worms 🪱no no smaller .. Pasta with beef and cheese.. I didn’t try it.. hopefully it was good Mixed appietizers.. he claimed its enough for 4 persons.. while it’s not enough even for 1 person..

If you have Entertainer .. be careful they have different and unusual calculations they are going to cheat on you.. BTW even with Entertainer,, its not...
