Sulalat Coffee offers a unique blend of modern minimalism and industrial sophistication, creating an experience that caters to coffee enthusiasts who appreciate both aesthetics and quality.
The space is sleek and minimalistic, dominated by a white color scheme that gives a sense of spaciousness and tranquility. The high ceilings, open seating area, and subtle decorative lighting contribute to a clean yet inviting atmosphere. The seating arrangement is simple, consisting of white cube-shaped stools and benches, which align perfectly with the contemporary design.
One of the standout features of Sulalat Coffee is its visible coffee roasting facility, separated by a glass wall. This industrial-style setup, featuring large stainless-steel machines and structured piping, showcases the brand’s commitment to fresh and high-quality coffee. It’s an immersive touch, allowing visitors to see the coffee production process firsthand.
The coffee itself is rich and aromatic, served in stylish green mugs that contrast beautifully with the neutral decor. The black coffee was bold yet smooth, a testament to the roastery’s expertise in sourcing and roasting beans. Accompanying the coffee were elegantly presented éclairs, a delightful pairing that complemented the robust flavors of the brew. Bottled water was also provided, emphasizing attention to detail and customer comfort.
The staff were attentive and professional, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. The minimalist approach extends to the service as well—efficient yet unobtrusive. The only area for slight improvement could be seating comfort, as the cube stools might not be ideal for extended stays.
Sulalat Coffee is a must-visit for those who appreciate specialty coffee in a beautifully designed space. Whether you’re there to savor a carefully brewed cup, admire the roastery process, or simply enjoy the refined ambiance, Sulalat delivers...
Read moreIt's Saturday, Good morning, Riyadh. I am so happy and excited to visit yet another new destination, I am at Sulalat, a world of the finest specialty luxury coffees.
My colleagues at work, Nama and AJS, wanted me to do a review of Sulalat popular for premium coffees and baked treats. Let's go ... discover Sulalat.
The espresso single shot was the ultimate experience of a coffee connoisseur, heavy creamy body with oud and cacao notes prepared from Exit 13 (Sulalat blend), coffee beans from Indonesia (Java), Gautamela, and Ethiopia. My rating is a perfect 10 out of 10.
The coffee latte was exquisite as the barista followed the recipe to the T (36 to 43 seconds to get it right!). The Exit 13 Sulalat blend is a delightful selection. My rating is 9 out of 10.
The Aeropress drip coffee uses Aljoud coffee beans from Saudi Arabia (locally grown in Southern Region -Jazan), and the method to prepare is unique and different. The last step required a press to release all the goodness of a black coffee. My rating is 11 out of 10.
The baked treats and amazing assortment of croissants, the brownie croissant with vanilla, chocolate, and caramel filling was a flavor burst. Oh wow! Oh yum! What was that! My rating is 10 out of 10.
The plain croissant, a humble baked goodness, it is light soft, fluffy, crispy, and simply delicious paired with coffee latte ... hmmm. My rating is 9 out of 10.
Overall rating is a perfect 10 out of 10.
@Sulalat team (Ahmed, Mustafa, Neezar) and all the staff, thank you for hosting me today!

Read moreThe place is quite nice and spacious.. but so much could be improved
They obviously know their coffee.. the menu has many coffee options.. limited non coffee and pastry options
The service is fast and friendly.. but it's self service.. and the portions r small (the cup sizes)
They sell coffee beans and equipment.. good brands but expensive.. the coffee beans average at 85 SAR for 250 g
Would be a good space for working if you don't mind the constant sound of machines (grinder, blender etc.), and the fact that there aren't many plugs.. but it's not that busy during the day
The ground floor only has 4 high seats behind a bar and 4 tables that are too low for comfort.. even for coffee.. with uncomfortable seats
There is a segregated sections for families on the 1st floor, as well as 4 normal tables
The bathroom is big and clean.. but they only have 1 per gender.. as if they're not expecting to have a lot...
