Read more—————— GRILL & RICE ————- I was invited by Grill n Rice / مطعم شواية ورز to try out their food. They serve Indian, Pakistani and Arabic food. They’ve recently opened their family section which was done very nicely. Before they didn’t have a family section, but now they’ve opened it recently to cater all the families easily. I loved the private and warm atmosphere in their family section. It gives you such a nice ambiance and friendly environment. For food we ordered: Shinwari karahi: Their best seller karahi made with mutton meat. Totally loved it! It was the best dish we ordered. Tasted extremely good. Can’t wait to have it again. 2. Chicken handi: It’s their running item in chicken curry. It had that creamy texture and tasted really good. Chicken biryani: One of the authentic biryani I’ve had her. Didn’t have useless orange colour and taste. Loved it. Spice level can be adjusted according to your level. Just like a deghi biryani. Qeema Paratha: Minced meat in a bread. Tasted good but was heavy. Lamb chops: one of the best bbq items in the menu. Loved it completely.
Bbq platter: a mix of different bbq items, done perfectly. 😍
Kulfi: Authentic and fresh kulfi. Totally loved it! Kheer, Gajrella and gulab jamun: gulaab jamun was cold, must have been better if given hot with sheera. Kheer and gajrella tasted good. Naan: loved their roghni roti. Went well with all the curry and bbq items. I can’t wait to go back and have their shinwari karahi again. It was the besttttt! We have a wonderful time. Thank you for having us over. Shinwari Karahi, lamb chops, chicken handi and kulfi are highly recommended. Do try and their prices are extremely affordable. You should definitely try it out it you haven’t. 😍 • •

Read moreVisited this place after seeing it from the busy Kharj road while passing many times as I was always intrigued by it's big glass facade and those hanging chandeliers....
I had gone there with high hope and higher expectations. The interior was nice as it appeared from outside but that was the only nice part.
Since it mentioned it's speciality as Indian-Pakistani and name has Grill in it, we ordered mix chicken kebab platter, Butter chicken handi and naan.
They served two tandoori rotis complimentary with each dish. There were no chutney or sauces but a very thin watery mint raita.
The butter chicken came in Handi with a plastic wrap and as soon as we opened it gave weird smell. But we continued expecting taste to make up for the lack of fragrance. But alas, we were deceived. Taste was below average. There was hardly any taste of butter and I honestly can't vouch if it was cooked fresh or just heated and served in handi.
Since the second dish was a grilled one, I still had a little hope left and I was expecting the seekh to be juicy and tender but it was super dry, again the same odd smell and too much of dry spice mixed in it's mince. Malai tikka didn't have malai but was the only edible thing.
I really wanted to try their rice dishes but after two set backs had to cancel my plan.
The food quality and taste does not match the ambiance and since it's a restaurant, owners needs to take a sincere note of it as people come to eat and not to just sit here.
Staff is least involved or looks too bored to do their job. They should try to recommend items which they know are fresh and good.
I doubt I'll be visiting it again. My verdict... AVOID WASTING...
