UPDATE: Went back several times since I posted this and the food was generally decent. But this last time may be the last time we go. My sister and brother in law were here visiting and we wanted them to have some Chinese. The first thing we noticed is that the prices have gone way up. The food quality and taste has gone down as have the portions. We ordered a dish with beef and garlic and the beef was so rubbery it was inedible. The chicken noodles had almost no chicken and the vegetable fried rice was a much smaller portion size, but so was every other dish.
The menu has changed too. The fried buns you see in the picture are no longer available. The noodles are just spaghetti and not real Chinese noodles. The spring rolls are the same as I buy from Metro.
Much as I hate it, I will just make my own Chinese food from here on out.
I was dubious of this restaurant for months. I lived in China for over 12 years and know what good Chinese food looks and tastes like. I just figured any restaurant with the name, Asia Food, could only be at best bad Chinese-American food. I was wrong.
💫 The food is actually quite good and as authentic as it can be with limitations on ingredients. 💫 The food looks, smells, and and tastes very similar to what we would get in China. 💫 You get menu items from Guangdong, Sichuan, and Jiangsu provinces. 💫 The service was excellent and friendly
The price point was somewhat high but that has as much to do with overhead in the Galerija as getting authentic ingredients.
I’ll go back. I want to try the sour fish with cabbage, the dim sum, the pickles, and many...
Read moreI ordered the YuXiang chicken and a Coke, and the total came to around 13-14€, which is a bit on the pricier side for Belgrade, but understandable given it’s in a mall — plus, the incredible view definitely helps justify it.
The food was absolutely delicious. The YuXiang chicken was rich in flavor and felt really close to authentic Chinese cuisine. Portion size was generous too, so it was definitely a satisfying meal.
The staff were genuinely sweet and welcoming, and the atmosphere had a personal, homey feel. It seemed like a family-run place — the owner’s children were helping out and hanging around, which added to the charm in a very natural way.
If I had to nitpick, the only odd part was that there were no proper napkins. Instead, there were some reusable cloths on the table — not quite sure what they were meant for, but it felt a bit impractical during the meal.
Still, the overall experience was lovely. Great food, kind people, and a surprisingly beautiful view — definitely worth a visit if you're in Belgrade and craving something...
Read moreIt was the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant.. I came because the reviews were good.. but do not be fooled. The dishes came one by one, but the rice we ordered did not came.. so we waited and the food got cold.. 2 rice bowl came but we also ordered a fried rice dish and we did not receive it even after finishing the food which came in dirty sticky support platters. We kept saying that we did not received the rice and they kept saying that it was in the making while we saw other tabels that came after us, receive their food. My father ordered spicy chicken and it was not spicy like at all not even some normal black pepper. I also ordered some beef soup and did not receive it until the end. The same with the fried rice.. 2 bowls were not enough for 4 persons which was why we also ordered the fried rice. Sticky unwashed...
