was with a group of international friends and we only wanted to get some drinks since we were in the neighborhood. We were told that wasn’t possible so we ordered some finger food as well however from that point on, we were made to feel so very unwelcome and uncomfortable, the hostess (already depressed looking) even made some faces and wouldn’t answer the simplest questions. The service in general was bad and so was the atmosphere. It was a Sunday afternoon, full of old people, some kind of a birthday lunch, just awful music... Then we got an extra beer, we didn’t really care about that, however at that point kajmak and ajvar and some kind of cream cheese arrived (all very delicious but nothing out of the ordinary and very expensive, plus not really what we ordered but I guess we weren’t that precise) with exactly 6 (SIX) small bread sticks. It was 10 of us and more than enough dips for everyone. We ordered more bread, this time “a basket of fresh bread” and got 3 or 4 slices! Again not enough for anything! Basically avoid this place! Apart from the famous name, it has nothing...
Read moreVERY EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY YOU RECEIVE! Food quality one star service attention to clients two stars atmosphere 10+. We came with our family last night, set down outside celebrated my parents 50 years of wedding anniversary. They don’t have a full bar. Food quality isn’t good. Cevapi weren’t soft and tasty, felt like it was processed meat from the can. 450 DIN were not returned when we paid. French fries were not available, but the waiter didn’t mention it and just brought the oven style rustic potatoes. Very disappointed. Left and went for desserts & drinks at a different restaurant (STARA KAFANA) where we have found live music, perfect drinks, and amazing traditional Serbian desserts. Next time we will go directly to this place for dinner. I guarantee you will be happier and...
Read moreWe’ve visited this restaurant a couple of times before and always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. Based on those positive experiences, we decided to bring some friends along—but unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to expectations. Some of us ordered fish (pastramka, if i am not mistaken), which was heavily oversalted and difficult to enjoy. We had booked a table for around 8 PM on a weekday, and while the place was nearly empty, the service was surprisingly slow. It felt as though the staff were more focused on closing up for the night than on serving the few guests still there. I also have to agree with other reviewers: while the interior is stylish and the setting is lovely, the menu is significantly overpriced for...
