The food and service were great, but the waiter tried to steal 2000 dinars from us. Long story short: we had 4500 dinars total (we counted the money because we thought that it may not be enough), and we asked the waiter if is possible to pay with euros, he said yes. After dinner we asked for the check, waiter brought it to us, the total amount was lower than 4500 so I gave him all the money, he took it and counted it on another table (standing with his back to us) and returned the money telling us that there's only 2500 dinars. I gave him 50 euros thinking that the 2k dinar bill fell from my wallet and is somewhere in my backpack. After searching through it and not finding the money I confronted the waiter about the missing bill, he said that he didn't see it. A minute later the waiter "found" a 1k dinar bill on the carpet 3 meters away from our table and gave it to us, and after that he "lend" us one more 1000 bill because "his girlfriend is russian". This all happened today at about 20:30. I hope that the management will address this issue and take action because such situation is unacceptable in a restaurant that values...
Read moreRude and unattentive service, takes forever to get noticed and even longer to actually get someone to the table. Be sure to repeat multiple times as when they bring your order it is missing items - and asking them to bring these again takes as much time as a new order. Mixed up drinks, wrong salads etc. Snotty comments when asked to bring what was ordered, but missing.
Run of the mill food, with mediocre ingredients. The ćevapi in the pot are oversalted and choked in mayonnaise (ajvar and kaymak). For 10+ eur you get chain-store bought ćevapi which poor taste can't be masked even with the overload of fatty sauce. The "long cooked ribs" are chunks of bacon on a rib, while other "long cooked" meats are chunks of defrosted long-stored pork or veal. Desserts are better described in the meny than their actual taste - advice is to skip the food altogether. High prices that do not justify a very nice outdoor environment. It is a shame, as the location and surrounding are supreme.
Finally - carefully check the bill before paying, "errors" in served quantities seem to be a...
Read moreVerified by Trip advisor for a reason, this is truly a hidden gem of Belgrade. Tucked away in a forest park, not too far away from an observatory - turned - education centre and historic landmark, an oasis of nature and fresh air in a sprawling city, it's a place well worth travelling to. Both the surroundings and the garden of the restaurant are truly beautiful. You could genuinely forget that you're within a capital city, and fool yourself that you're somewhere far from the urban chaos. A great place to clear your mind and enjoy some absolutely mouthwatering options. Mostly Serbian traditional cuisine of which I am usually not a fan of, this place left me wanting for more. And, lest I forget, the service is, of course, also incredibly cordial and accommodating. Do I have a complaint? Only that I learned about this spot just recently. I hope to...
