Piatto — Restaurant in City of Novi Sad

This place was somewhat generic restaurant with several unnecessary faults… First of all, staff behavior should be something to work on. Guys responded very slow and behaved uninterested and kind of mildly unpleasant. Maybe this just want their day, but a nominally welcoming approach or at least calm professionalism should be a norm these days. Second, carbonara pasta was far off what we expected. Large amount of some kind of milk cream and egg yolk taste practically absent. Although it wasn’t inedible at it filled our stomachs, this just isn’t carbonara. Pizza was kind of ok, nothing special there. Cheese cake was more a whipped cream cake - it was sweet, abundant and with no actual cheese cake taste. Exceeded expectations in the best way.

I usually go for a Caesar salad when trying out a new place, but since they didn’t have it, I went with their Pertosa instead—and I’m glad I did. It’s basically a Caesar with more greens and none of the heavy mayo that usually throws it off.

A surprising gem right next to our Nova Detelinara home. We were looking for a nice Italian Pasta and gave Piatto a go. The beauty of the venue was the first thing to catch our attention, and the pleasant professional waiter was next.
