Shocking service So many people was recommending this place and finally we came to experience this “amazing place” . I don’t have much good to say apart of good food Yes. The service was absolutely shocking in my eyes. First time we came there and Asian young man made some unhappy comments about us pay by card. “ you have no cash???!” No sorry we don’t have enough cash. Rolled eyes and took the payment. Second time we have a chance to this place and what a surprise we been served by the same young man. We sat down to the chairs with the view to the sea next to some man who was finishing his lunch. Later on he left we ended up sitting in the middle. As soon as we got served with the food just before I managed to out some food in my mouth this young gentlemen asked us to move to fit a bigger family to the view by the sea.. moved all the plates ( thanks good didn’t moved me) and left… when I asked him can I have same chocolate sprinkles on the iced coffee like we had yesterday he just said we don’t have any … and left… after we finished food we been waiting until someone actually give us the bill , I was looking around the restaurant to every single waiter in the eyes trying to ask for bill and guys was more busy with people who just came in and ignoring those who finished the food . After 20 minutes waiting for attention I had to request bill next to their till lady. As much as this place cook food nicely I would not return there ever again. It’s not homely cosy restaurant at all it felt like it’s all just about fit everyone in get them food to the table and get...
Read moreAbsolutely worth the ride! Visiting Chez Jules Restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay on La Digue. Yes, it’s a bit of a bike ride to get there—tucked away on the far end of the island near Anse Banane—but every pedal was worth it.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who were not only friendly and professional, but also genuinely passionate about their food and service. The setting is relaxed, with a stunning view over the ocean and a calming breeze that makes you want to stay forever.
The food—is absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, local ingredients. The grilled fish was perfectly seasoned and melted in our mouths. The octopus bbq was one of the best we've ever had, full of rich spices and creamy coconut.
So yes, it may take a little effort to get there by bike, but trust me: Chez Jules is an absolute must. It's a hidden gem that rewards you with exceptional food, wonderful people, and an atmosphere that’s pure Seychelles magic....
Read moreWhat an unique place on La Digue! Loved every bit of it. I ordered octopus curry and my husband chicken breast with salad and chips. Huge size of the portions. Our fruit platter was delicious too. The view is just next to the ocean. I got to meet Carol, Jules’ daughter who was extremely kind with my little girl. She even gave her a bag of breadfruit chips at the end of our visit. Jules himself appeared too and made a round to greet the guests. The TV also came to have an interview with Jules. Very happy I biked all the way to Chez Jules - it was al worth it. P.S. If visiting during the weekend you might want to get in touch with them to book at table as we visited without a reservation on a Saturday and it was pretty...
