We were lucky to taste Marlene‘s great home cooked authentic creole food! We drove by one day prior asking if she had a spot for us. We were able to come back the following day for dinner. Marlene brought us some fresh juice and the best tuna we had during our stay! The tuna was accompanied by rice, a yummi sauce and veggies (some fried some raw). The portion size was large and the food was fresh and very tasty! We even received some watermelon as desert. After we finished dinner, Marlene sat with us at the table and told us a bit about her life and we could even sign her guest book. Overall a very pleasant experience with tasty authentic creole food. Totally recommended! Note: The food always changes but most of the time consists of grilled fish,...

Great host, atmosphere and food as well. When we came in it was not opened yet (it was around 1 pm), but when the owner saw us, she gave us a warm welcome and a seat. I was a bit surprised there was no menu and the owner just brought us some drinks, food and a dessert right away without waiting and asking whether we want it, but the price was acceptable for what we received and the visit was really amazing authentic experience, so I highly recommend it to anyone at least a bit adventurous who prefers local food over the fancy restaurants. One tip for the owner - having a choice from two menus or at least having the offer visible right from the road together with the price would be...

My girlfriend and I went on a walk to search for food, we were expecting to eat at a way to expensive chique place but a board with ‘fresh juice’ caught our eye. We walked over and a lady greeted us with such hospitality and good vibes that we had to take a seat. We were treated with an amazing passion fruit drink and that was only the beginning. Marlene made us fresh food that was miles ahead of anything we’ve had on Praslin. Outside of the amazing dish Marlene brought good stories, humor and just a beautiful dining experience that had us forgetting we are tourists and made our first night on the island one to never forget....

We went there for late lunch on Easter Sunday and we were welcome with open arms by Marlene. She was expecting other people but said "don't worry, I'll make you something". After a few minutes she came back with fresh juice and a delicious meal with grilled fish, rice and salad a mere 5-10min later. Marlene and her husband will always make you feel welcome, with a big smile and lovely stories. She even sang a song for us, as she used to be a gospel singer. Overall, the most traditional Creole meal and experience we have had in Seychelles so far.
