Roy Restaurant is a place that has been on my radar as one of the best food spots in Sierra Leone, but my experience was the complete opposite the only good thing I could complement about this place is their customer service our waitress was good and did her job superbly. There are many things wrong with Roy Restaurant, firstly our pizza that we ordered was utterly trash whoever made that pizza should be fired effectively immediately for even serving people that thing, it wasn’t worth a single Leone, and this was just the beginning of my forgettable experience, secondly the Hamburger was something that they made attractive but the taste tells a different story, would recommend if they food was better. Please improve the food 👍.

Our group of 18 dined here for dinner. We preordered family style Mediterranean food in tables of 4-6 people. Service was good. Excellent taboulah and classic hummus with naan. The chicken and grounded lamb were very good. The egg rolls and mozzarella were good. Roy's offers a hotel also We sat on the outdoor covered deck with waterfront and sunset view. Indoor tables also available. Several TVs for sports. Roy's also has a gelato center and Roy's box is a walk by pizza place all under one roof.

Went for what was supposed to be a nice sunset dinner and they played the football on the TVs on loudspeakers so incredibly loud we couldn't even talk. Food was OK, nothing special and the shisha guy was not attentive (unlike at The Hub where the shisha guy is excellent). Our coals kept blowing off due to the wind but he didn't come back often to fix or put a hood on it. Noise was ridiculous. We were outside on the decking. Ruined the experience. Will not return for the atmosphere nor food.

Trip from 27 April to 04 May 2025.

WOW, is what I’ll say! Although the room was paid for me for my visit, I would have preferred to stay somewhere else. Nice view of the Atlantic Ocean and beach, right across the street from the hotel. But for the price they charged, I told the management team, there are a number of hotels of much better quality in the U.S. and a few other countries I’ve visited. (YES, I KNOW THIS ISN’T THE U.S. or OTHER COUNTRIES, SO WHY PAY IN THE U.S. CURRENCY/PRICE?) Upwards of the equivalent of $100 U.S. dollars in a room where you only got ONE channel and NO SHOWER curtains to say the least. The quality of service was GREAT. They made sure I had fresh towels and offered to service my room even after taking a noonday nap. The staff was very respectful as I tipped them pretty well, hearing what they made for the entire month. *Again and SADLY my delima was THE PRICE for this establishment which I found out the hotel next door was just a few dollars more and a different quality of service. #Would I recommend ROY’S Hotel? Let’s just say, I’ll recommend it for the Staff members satisfaction and helping them out with their TIPS as the economy is in dire distress. But overall, I’ll have to give them a ’C-‘ and that’s only...

Our experience at the Roy Hotel was horrendous. This hotel should really be considered a motel, at best. The place is extremely dated and lacks the amenities commanded for the location. Upon arrival we had to be moved three times because the AC units do not work at the optimal level. ||||The only positive individual at this hotel was a front desk attendant named Augustine. She really tried her best to find us a room that was acceptable. After a few hours, we ultimately did not end up staying the night - seeing a small lizard walking on the interior wall was the straw that broke the camel's back. It was almost 1am when we left and went to another hotel. ||||Their general lack of care and service coupled with very outdated rooms makes this place an international traveller's worst nightmare.
