From the China Menu: We had the China BBQ Sticks 东北炭烧烤 which includes Pork Intestine, Enoki Mushroom with Bacon, Shishamo, Scallop, Oyster Mushroom, Shitake Mushroom, Lotus Root and Slice Potato. They well all well grilled to a certain level and their BBQ Seasoning is really fragrant.
Sichuan Spicy Duck 四川辣子鸭 was really unique and tasty. Comparing to chicken, duck has a stronger flavour on its own. At ArtiStick, we can taste flavour similar to smoke duck, after which is was deep fried to have a crispy outer layer and stir fry again with the spices. The peanut also added crunch and flavour to the already flavourful dish.
Spicy Grill Eggplant 香辣烤茄子 was well grilled to char on the outside. The eggplant absorb the flavour of the spice and mince meat so well, and its tender with full of moisture on it’s white layer of flesh.
Sichuan Fish Soup with Pickled Mustard 酸菜鱼汤 Fish is thinly sliced cooked with Sichuan pickles. The dish, in my opinion, is one of the lesser known dish and had an acquired taste on its own.
Spicy Cucmber 拍黄瓜 was the only cold dish that we ordered. Crunchy as it is, drenched with sauce, it definitely made a good appetiser.
From the Malaysian Menu: We had Lok Lok including Cheese Tofu, Smoke Duck, Broccoli and Tofu Skin Roll. First time trying Smoke Duck and Tofu Skin Roll 斋鹅Lok Lok, they were really good.
Malaysian Burnt Bee Hoon烧焦米粉 was fry with seafood and the bee hoon was ended with a slight burnt for that additional crisp layer. The layer underneath that burnt was moist and aromatic. Definitely one of the better one we can find in Singapore.
From the Japanese Yakitori Menu: We tried Grilled Beef 牛肉串, Mentaiko Grilled Beef 明太子酱牛肉串, Mentaiko Grilled Scallop 明太子酱带子串, Mentaiko Grilled Prawn 明太子酱鲜虾. They were well torched, retained their juiciness. ArtiStick was generous with their mentaiko sauce and we love it.
From the Singapore Menu: We just ought to try something from here even though we know we had alot. We went for the Mentaiko Quail Egg (shared photo with other mentaiko dishes), Fried Mushroom and Chicken Satay.
Those eggs was additive as each time you pop into your mouth and bite, there was an explosion with of mentaiko with that yolk flavour.
The Fried Mushroom was dip in their batter before deep frying. They were really crispy and crunchy, topped with some seasoning powder, they are really yummy.
The Chicken Satay was also one of the better one we had. I love that thick peanut sauce that came with it. We were later told that the Pork Satay tasted even better here.
Overall, the dishes here was great and I can’t really think of anything negative. They are really compatible with alcohol, those...

Artistick is located just around the area where Chinatown Food Street was at, but that place is closed down for good. It looks so empty around the area, but I find it less stuffy and more spacious to walk.
They serve a huge variety of food such as Charcoal Grill Yakitori, Western Food, Singapore Satay, Charcoal Grill China BBQ, Lok Lok & Zi Char. You know you always has friends who are indecisive on what to eat, this place solves all your problem.
Mirin Beef Cube ($24/200g) was my 1st time trying, I never had mirin with beef, the mirin adds a nice sweetness to the beef. I highly recommend to try this. Mentaiko Beef Cube ($24) is 1 of their hot selling item, the beef is tender and juicy, paired with their generous mentaiko sauce, this can’t go wrong. I also had 4 different meats that comes with Mentaiko, those meats are Grilled Beef, Pork, Squid, Prawn.
Malaysia Burnt Beehoon ($10) is cooked by their Penang chef and the owner recommended me to try this, no regrets, I really enjoy this and it comes with huge pieces of prawns and squid. They were extremely fresh and crunchy! Sichuan Spicy Duck ($20) is such as interesting dish whereby you get to enjoy the spiciness and the tenderness of the duck. Bacon Carbonara ($12) is very creamy and flavourful, I don’t feel jelat eating this. It keeps me going for more.
Great selection of grilled meats and vegetables to choose from such as Beef, Pork, Mutton, chicken, Shishamo, Lotus Root, Slice Potato, Shitake Mushrooms & Broccoli. Yakitori Beef with Truffle has a strong truffle taste & smell to it. If you love truffle, you should definitely try this, beef is very tender. I love their Grilled Broccoli ($2.50) very much, it’s SOOO CRISPY and the SPICES USED MAKES IT DAMN GOOD. I can eat their broccoli all day.
They even serve Beer, Sake, Soju, Cognac, Whisky, Red Wine. Their 2nd floor has an awesome bar whereby people head over to drink, the vibes there is on point! Bring your drinking kakis along to chug on some drinks.
Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, I CAN’T EVEN CHOOSE WHICH IS MY FAVOURITE. FOOD HERE...
Read moreI did the reservations at 8pm and was informed by the restaurant still need 20min to be able to be seated. After waiting for almost 1 hour, they do not even have a table for us. My advice to interested patrons even if you did a reservation be prepare to wait for at least an hour as the restaurant do not honour online bookings and do not bother if they can really cater to the customers. Very bad and a waste of time.
Replying to the restaurant owner:
Dear Restaurant Owner, I understand your response regarding my recent experience at your restaurant. I was utterly disappointed with the way my reservation for the buffet was handled., I'd like to clarify a few points as the truth is being twisted.
Quandoo Reservation: My online reservation through Quandoo only offered time slots, not the option to choose between buffet or a la carte. If the buffet slots were fully booked, it should have been disabled online reservations for those times.
Seating: Upon arrival, your staff requested me changing to ala carte due to our party size being only two people, only then we will be given a table at Lvl 2. While I appreciate the suggestion, my reservation was confirmed for the buffet, hence I was not allowed to go up to Lvl 2 and have to wait for a table.
Waiting Time: When we refused to change to ala carte, we were informed of a 20 minutes waiting time. However, after an hour, we didn't receive any further updates on the availability of a table.
My intention is not to damage your business but let interested customers know so they will not face such a scenario, spoiling a Saturday evening dinner even with a reservation. However, seeing how this truth becomes twisted, I’m really glad that I left without having my dinner in...
