国医堂 G&G TCM Medical Pte Ltd, located on Smith Street in the heart of Singapore, is a well-established traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinic that has been serving the community for many years. Known for its commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care, the clinic offers a comprehensive range of TCM services to address a wide variety of health concerns. I've been going to 国医堂 for a while now, and I can't recommend them enough. I've even sent a few friends their way, and they've all had great experiences. I've had a particularly positive experience with Dr. Edward Chow, who's stationed at the new outlet on Smith Street. On one occasion, my son had a stiff neck after sleeping on a stiff pillow, and he was immediately cured by Dr. Chow. Dr. Chow is not only a skilled physician, but also a good friend. We've been motorcycle riding buddies since 2016, and he's always been a kind and helpful guy. I was lucky to be able to see Edward today, as it's Christmas Day and he doesn't usually work on public holidays. Recently, Kitty had back pain and was struggling to find relief. She had visited several other practitioners, but with no success. I recommended 国医堂 to her, knowing they had a good reputation and that many of my friends had positive experiences there. I was particularly excited to tell her about the new outlet on Smith Street, where my good friend Dr. Edward Chow is stationed. He's also one of the top 10 Chinese physicians in Singapore, which is a testament to his skills. Kitty went for a consultation and received acupuncture and therapy. She mentioned that she saw significant results, and she was impressed with the new outlet. I also took some pictures of the place. The first floor is for consultations and therapy, the second floor is dedicated to foot and body massage, and the third floor is a VIP room. The whole place is nicely renovated and very cozy and welcoming—you really feel relaxed in this space. It's usually fully packed and you need to make appointments days in advance to get a slot, but luckily, since it was Christmas Day, we were able to walk in without an appointment. I'm happy to report that she's feeling much better after her visit. The doctors at 国医堂 are clearly experts in their field, and they take a personalized approach to treatment. While the prices are slightly higher than some other practitioners, the therapy is efficient and effective, so I think it's worth it. The consultation fee is $25, acupuncture is $70, and the Meridian Repair Instrument (which requires practitioner guidance) is $30 for a 15-minute session. I'm so grateful for their help.

Experience: I just had a massage at this TCM shop and overall, it was a great experience. Personally, I prefer sports massages over relaxing ones, so that's what I went for. I asked specifically for deep pressure on my bones, muscles, and joints, and Mr. Alan, the therapist, really knew his stuff. He showed off his skills with different techniques like pressing, rubbing, tapotement, etc. Ambience: I found the place to be clean and well-maintained. They had some nice music playing in the background, and staff greeted me with a smile. Location: It’s right in the heart of Chinatown, so it's super convenient. After your session, you can easily go grab a delicious meal nearby. Price: I will say that it’s a bit pricier compared to other TCM shops. I ended up paying $155 for 1.5 hours, but honestly, I think it was worth every penny.

Tried this tcm brand this year. Need to try the therapist/tcm doc to find one suitable for oneself. The pressure for the female therapists are mostly firm, and had 2 therapists whom I did but the after effect is heaviness on the forehead. The last tried had a suitable doc whom comfortable with, and most preferred among all female therapists tried. Will try again to firm up the choice. Price is on somewhat high side and for people targeting problem area. There is a thermal pot with "boiling hot" light red dates drink customer can help themselves, and cold water container. Took the medicine powder, did acupuncture, and tuina massage. Usually will specify with the therapist the specific condition and sore areas before start. 2 outlets nearby each other, but prefer the convenient location of this

Acupuncture was painful but on point. Feeling less tense now. Staff are very friendly!

Edit: (Now that I have more time to write a proper review.) I've been having lower back pain for a while now and it's been a very complex issue. Thought I'd try this place for the adjustments as I felt that my hips were misaligned. Been going to physio and orthopaedic doctor and it's been a slow journey of recovery.

I received acupuncture, some therapy with a machine to loosen the muscles on my back, and afterwards bone settlement. Acupuncture was very painful, but I know that it's never a walk in the park. They hit the right spots on my glutes where my muscles were fatigued. I think it was helpful, though I did get a bruise at one spot.

The bone settlement felt like an after thought. I had changed out of the clothes provided by the clinic because the acupuncture and therapy session was done, and the Dr looked at my posture again and said that my neck is also misaligned so he'll do some adjustments for me. I went back to get bone settlement, and it was a routine procedure that he performs on everyone, instead of tailored to my issue. I've seen the videos on TikTok, so I know it's the same. Some areas cracked while some didn't, and at some points I felt like Dr was really pushing to get a crack when my body didn't want to.

Overall it felt like they are not very interested in understanding my whole pain journey, and proceeded with procedures that they normally prescribe. I've had similar encounters with other TCM doctors, so it might be the trade. Right now my lower back/ tailbone area feels a bit more sensitive, with occasional radiating pain. I can't say it's because of the treatment, but the slight relief in the treatment definitely doesn't last.

The staff are nice and gave me an umbrella as it was raining. You'll be asked to write a review to get some coupons and they'll check it before giving to you. I wasn't going to but felt a bit bad about the free umbrella so I wrote one. I think it's hard to give a holistic review in the moment when they have to check it.

Just sharing my personal experience. There are plenty of happy experiences from others at this place, so you should decide what you want to try and see if it...
