Tis restaurant serves an amazin n awesome indian cuisine... The owners r down-to-earth n friendly, always givin due consideration to the requests n preferences of their patrons. Service by the waiters is swift n prompt. The waiters also extend a personal touch to their customers by committing to memory their orders instead of jotting them down... Moving on to the main highlight which of course is the food, 2 dishes which stand out in my opinion are the maggi goreng and chicken briyani. The maggi goreng consists an assortment of ingredients and condiments tossed and stir-fried together to give it a balanced n savoury taste. The savoury flavours are also intensified with the addition of meat such as chicken and mutton. The aroma which emanates from the plate of noodles when it is served piping hot will most definitely tickle one's senses. The chicken briyani is also very tasty and delicious. It has a very smooth taste and the tender succulent morsels of chicken certainly add zest to the flavourful basmathi rice... Do try their innovative designer pratas such as ondeh ondeh and mala murtabak as well. They also have a very specialised catering menu for different occasions and functions... Great and wonderful...
Read moreThe unique proposition this place has is it’s Prata Workshop, which is great for small group, family or corporate team bonding.
At $35/ pax, you get a prata lesson (you will not get to eat what you make — this would be a blessing because trust me, unless you’re incredibly talented, you probably wouldn’t want to eat what you had made), prata buffet with proper prata made by their chefs, apron and certificate.
Couple of drawbacks — the prata buffet serves only hot drinks. You’ll need to top up individually for cold drinks. The workshop would mean booking out half the restaurant, so it best fits maximum 15 pax. Any more, and you’ll probably be split into groups to eat and flip separately. I would imagine the place being quite noisy and rowdy if you’re dining while a workshop is happening too.
There is also limited parking, and overall this place is not the most accessible by public transport.
That said, the service by Vasanth was prompt, the workshop was conducted smoothly and everyone had a good time. We only wished it was longer to learn how to make prata dough/ cook the prata instead of just briefly flipping ready-made dough that wouldn’t be cooked...
Read moreFish set Lunch was not good, below expectations. Firstly, inside Aircon Dining Area, almost half of Dining Sector closed b'cos off peak. Remaining occupied, had to sit outside, hot and uncomfortable. Secondly, fish set Lunch was short of rating it "poor", overall taste was flat, vegetables were not tasty like south Indian style, rasam was dilute small portion, not warm, hardly sufficient for the rice portion, no Pappaddam with the fish meal set, had to pay extra $1.20. It seems making money squeezing the dish items, paying for workers who are not customer service oriented unlike pre- COVID. The waiter or worker didn't approach me if I needed extra rice, or rasam, they look and go off. What kind of attitude seems to be okay by the management.
Overall, it's my second visit ( take-away)with the same "poor taste" meals. But first visit was worse, no chicken gravy despite telling the cashier ($$$), no Pappaddam despite paying for it ( short changed), overall food was not at all tasty.
Decided NOT to patronize this Restaurant with my friends and definitely no...
