Been there couple of times as i am staying closeby, taste of the food was pretty nice from the past experiences. However visited today and I had order the buttermilk chicken sandwich along with a side order of curly fries at 2.10pm where it was quiet, waited over 20mins which was kind of weird for the slow business volume at that point of time, yet one of the couple whom came me later than me received their food first where caught my attention. So immediately they started munching on the curly fries and started on the sandwiches where they had lifted up using their hands and check the fillings which then found out that they did not order that, approached the wait staff informing her on that hence the plate of sandwich was taken back to the food pass while checking on the ticket orders i believe found out was mine hence straight away brought me the same exact plate. Ive then feedback to the wait staff hence was told to do another plate. ive called the wait staff again to check how long would it take for the re-fire was told 5-10mins, was quite disappointed on the actions as since the sandwich require 20mins to complete, yet the "re-fire" for another new plate requires 5-10mins (without checking with the chef as was an immediate reply) means they were planning just to recook the new fries and serve back the same sandwich. I was offered a complimentary drink as part of service recovery however had decline since i would have to leave soon hence ask to cancel the order. While several advise was seek from the wait staff to her senior or manager, even from the first feedback till performing the refund, none apologies was receive while the manager carried on his duties and didnt bothered to even approached to apologize. Understand the wait staff may be quite junior where uncertain in handling such situation but as senior he could have at least extend apology on behalf. The situation could be handled more tactfully where even a mistake had happened customers will certainly leave happily and return again. (BTW they had shrink their curly fries portion by 50% with the same price vs the 1st time...

🍽️ Crispy Brussel Sprouts (9.7/10) Multidimensional flavour, with sweet and savouriness, and a caramelised crisp! The flavours are so interesting and swirl together to form this delicious blend of sweet and salty. it just tastes good. If you hate vegetables, this will change your life. Soft inside, crunchy outside, but a tad bit oily. Lesser oil and it would have been perfect!!
🍽️ Sweet Potato Fries (10/10) Perfectly made and oh so super crispy. The sweetness isn’t too overpowering, and there’s slight hints of sourness from the plum powder.
🍽️ Breakfast Sandwich (12/10) The most popular main on the menu! This is so good. Served nice and warm, it was so comforting. The shokupan bread is chef’s kiss, and so delicious. (We took away a loaf!) Crunchy toasted exterior, fluffy soft inside, oh so good. I can eat their bread all day. The eggs were so fluffy, and the hashbrown adds some dimension and texture. Candied bacon also notably good, very well made and completes the sandwich. Their sauce is good too, and adds some spice to the sandwich. The sandwich is filling, and one portion can easily be shared with two. Must order to try! ☺️
🍽️ Double Choc Raspberry Cookie 100/10🍪 My favourite. Not too sweet, well balanced with the raspberry, I love this!!! Great dessert. Chewy raspberry marshmallow centre and crumbly crunchy outside. The texture is so good, I’m definitely going to get this again!!
The place has a nice cozy wooden camping aesthetic, rather small so I recommend coming off peak. They have a nice playlist and the atmosphere is quite nice too! Al fresco area outside spacious and relaxing. Food were served quickly and all served nicely warm and fresh. I will come back for the sandwich and cookie!!
5/5 food 6/5...
Read moreWas a bit skeptical of the negative reviews but that did not deter my visit here for dinner. Truly a great place to unwind after a work week. I liked that the staff are adaptable and take feedback in stride to improve and serve their customers better. The male staff (which I presume is the owner?) was really courteous, humorous, and checked in for feedback on the food.
Food wise, I highly recommend the Cheesy Baby Pizza (SGD20). Price may seem a bit steep but it’s worth it. I usually leave pizza crusts untouched but for this one, I demolished it. The savoury mozzarella paired with honey drizzle and a thin crisp base were the fundamentals of a solid cheese pizza. 5/5 for this, truly one of the better pizzas I had in SG!
Pork collar however was disappointing. The taste and texture vary across the pieces - some were too salty, some were tasteless, one or two pieces were tender and the rest were tough. For SGD20, it was not worth the price and you’re better off ordering other sides or another pizza. 2/5 for this.
For drinks, I ordered an iced oat white (SGD8) which was good enough for a caffeine fix but coffee was more of the acidic or astringent side which fell short a little in my opinion. 3.5/5.
Overall, the place is really chill and I enjoyed having my TGIF solo dinner here! I have tried their brunch last year and I have to say that the dinner menu is much better. If you are intending to visit this place, do take note that you may not get your preferred seating for ideal seating allocation (i.e. cater diff group sizes accordingly). Be patient and trust me it will be worth the wait even though the place can get quite busy during peak hours. I’d recommend this place for anyone, even if you’re alone. The portions are suitable for one pax too, and I finished it...
