Brought my family here for Sunday lunch and was disappointed to say the very least.
The server that sat us was so rude, acted like showing us to our seats was a huge inconvenience to her. Didn't even tell us to order from qr code or where to see menu, just sat us and walked away. Asked for extra chair but was very rudely refused. Asked for plastic cup as we had a toddler with us but was given a tall glass cup. Getting any attention from the servers was next to impossible.
Initially ordered 2 coffees. After 15min only one came and when I informed them that I actually ordered two they told me that it's in the way, only to make me wait for another 20min
Food overall was very tasty, just that everything took way too long. Around 30 to 45min for the mains (half of which came before rice which took another 15 or so minutes to come after we asked the to check on it) and halfway through the first food order we decided to order more, which took another 45min. But ok I'd take it as everything is made to order and that it takes longer than usual given that the food was indeed very tasty.
Service on the other hand was absolutely horrible. There were 8 of us and naturally after finishing each dish there would be dirty dishes, all of which we had to stack on one side of the table just so we could make room for the waiter to place the next dish, after which he didn't even bother to do anything about the obvious stack of dirty plates. Eventually we had to clear the plates ourselves, absolutely ridiculous. We were at the place for more than 2 and a half hours, closer to 3. I've had better service at hawker centres than I did at this restaurant that has the cheek to charge us for service charge. Not sure what the manager is doing or if there even is one on duty, doesn't really seem like it.
All the floor staff could very clearly see that we were clearing our own plates and did not even offer to help despite literally being right beside us at the time.
When we requested for our left overs to be packed so we can bring it home, the waitress very rudely just chucked them all in the same container like rubbish then handed it to us without a word.
I'd reccomend to order for takeaway since the food is pretty good, but dine in only if you have zero expectations for service and if you have nothing else planned right after cos chances are you'll be there the whole afternoon/evening just waiting for the food to come.
For management please reassess the kind of work practices that the business deems acceptable, because this standard...
Read more“A Nightmare Dining Experience” 1st September 2018" After high expectations, our dinner was a major disappointment. I took two friends to Gerry’s Grill restaurant for a get-together as one of them is her birthday. (01.09.18) I went in to the restaurant at around 6.15pm seated by one of the staff to table#20. I placed my order at around 6.20pm and paid for everything. I have clearly mentioned to the staff who took my order that I am hosting my friend’s birthday. We have done our dinner at around 7.30 and trying to look for the staff as i want them to clear our table and serve our dessert but unfortunately no one is available at that section. We waited for 15min and finally one of the staff acknowledge us and went to our table. I told him to clear our table and they can serve our dessert. He acknowledged and left our table unfortunately he did not come back. After few minutes one lady went to our table (staff ) to clear everything. I was surprised when she asked me if we do need anything. I thought the guy who attended us earlier acknowledge what i asked him to do but again no communication. There are 4 items that i asked the staff to pack for take away and reminded her to serve our dessert, suddenly she asked me what dessert I ordered then I told her what i have pre-ordered and paid. We waited again for another 10 minutes and then new lady (staff) approached me and ask the same question “what dessert have you ordered?” then, i repeated my order then she left. Few later - minutes our dessert was served. We have left our :table at around 8pm. I was surprised when the male staff who had attended us to clear our table the same person who acknowledse I am not sure what is his position but he run after us and approached me that the bill was not paid. What????? Seriously? I have placed my order from the time I was seated to the table #20 and fully paid. I was so embarrassed the way he approached infront of my friends not only that the people outside the restaurant who witnessed how he run after me and ask the bill to pay. Terribly disappointed with the service and staff! If you are the manager of that restaurant who approached me to pay the bill you need a proper training itds only shows that the restaurant has no system in place, no proper communication with your staff and you demoralized your customers. Read moreFirst of all,i would like to give a minus star if im allowed to.Before i went there this morning,i called and was told that the opening hour will be at 12pm.When i reached there at 12pm,one staff came out and inform me that the kitchen is not ready yet,and was told that i had to wait another 10 mins.I politely request that can i actually go in and had my menu ordered first while the cooks get themselves prepared.I was denied this request.However,to my shock,after another 10 mins of waiting,another staff came out and told off straight in our face(other customers) that there were not enough cooks and had to wait at 1pm in order for us to dine in.When i questioned him politely why was this not made known to us earlier,and i quote what he said"Opening hour is 1pm,can you wait ,if not its ok". Honestly,this is the first time i had experience such an extremely bad dining service in my life. To the management of the singapore outlet,my sincere comment to you is that " not enough cooks" is not the correct term or excuse that your customer should be given.Instead,your staff should have forwarded this late opening hour to us,and if it has,i will fully understand. My guess on this problem is that the main reason behind this bad dining experience is that your outlet must have paid too much attention to fulfill the on line delivery platform,leaving your dine in customers with the option of "take it or leave it"However,if im wrong,then,i suggest you should sit down and discuss with your team and find out the root cause of the problem. I know that i will not have a big impact on your business if i were to say i will not patronise your restaurant anymore,but rest assure that if this were to carry on,i believe sooner or later,your business will be greatly affected.
