I was really excited to finally try this place after putting it off for weeks, even though it was quite out of the way for my boyfriend and me. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be really disappointing. We received the worst customer service we’ve ever had, which was especially upsetting since this was meant to be a celebratory dinner.

When we arrived around 8pm on a Friday night, there was a group in front of us, so we queued behind them. Despite several empty tables, we were left waiting without acknowledgment. A man who arrived after us was approached first by the host, while we were completely ignored. Eventually, another staff member asked how many were in our party and seated us after cleaning a table.

We were told to press a “call” button when ready to order, but no one came after we pressed it twice. Other tables were getting served quickly, especially a nearby group of six. After flagging down a food runner (who couldn’t take orders), we were again told to press the button. I ended up pressing it repeatedly before someone finally came over. By the time we ordered, it was close to 9pm.

The oysters I ordered were fresh and huge, which I was excited about at first, but two of them had noticeable shell shards on the meat, which made them inedible. Thankfully, the battered fish was good. It was soft, flaky, and slightly sweet. We both enjoyed that dish quite a bit.

After finishing, we tried to get the bill using the call button again, but no one came for over 10 minutes. Once again, it was the food runner who helped us out. Honestly, he was the most attentive staff member there and really deserves more recognition for how much he was handling. I would’ve tipped him if I carried cash.

As someone who has worked in F&B, I found the service unacceptable. Looking at other reviews, it seems we’re not the only ones who’ve experienced this. Just because we were a party of two doesn’t mean we deserve any less attention. We’re still paying customers, and we paid a service charge too.

They should really replace call button system with something more effective, like QR code ordering or simply letting customers raise their hands for attention. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, there are definitely better places to...

Anyone who loves seafood should absolutely come here. Took my wife here for dinner during our staycation and we were absolutely blown away by the experience of both food and service! Staff is super friendly and on point for checking if we needed anything or how our food was. The food, words cannot describe how delicious everything tasted and smelled!

We happened to go for dinner during the night they had a special on their fresh oysters, which is $2.50 a piece, you are eligible for as long as you order a main dish. Fresh, delicious, and the vinaigrette, amazing, period.

Along with the oysters we also had the sushi moriwase and the soft shell crab. The soft shell crab was seasoned with truffle before being deep fried and topped off with parmesan, light, crispy, super flavourful. The sushi, wow, just, wow. Each fish was super fresh, and served with their house-blend soya sauce. That soya sauce elevates the already delicious sushi to an even greater level. Absolutely a must try!

For our mains we had the fisherman's stew and the house fish and chips. The fisherman's stew is made with mussels, clams, scallops, prawns, octopus, and calamari in a delicious saffron cream stew. We drank and ate all of it. It was gone before we knew it. It is a large portion with enough to serve 2 people, and well well worth the price! The fish and chips is probably the highlight of our wonderful night here. I've personally have eaten a ton of fish and chips before in my life so far, all of them ranging from mediocre to great. This however is perfect. Light, crispy, the fish they used amazingly fresh. Perfect. The thai sweet chili sauce and the tartare sauce, a perfect accompaniment to the fish, unable to go wrong if you chose one over the other. This dish is the most perfect fish and chips I had ever had. It doesn't even get soggy after sitting for a while!

Lastly we had the granny smith apple crumble foe our dessert. Delicious. A perfect way to wrap up the meal.

TLDR; this place is a must try and everything we had is delicious. We will definitely be coming back because we had an...

Visited this place because of a few good recs of the place but was disappointed — perhaps it was an off day, especially at 8pm on a Sunday.

To start off, service was poor. There didn’t seem to be anyone running the ship and all staff was disinterested save for Justin who looked like he was the only one working. The staff were all disengaged, using their phones (including the manager) and cleaning up 2h before closing time instead of preparing the food ordered. Food, water, etc. took ages to come. As an example, our boiled prawns were served way after our mains, kind of like dessert. To echo the other reviewers, when we entered, we approached a lady waiter for a table, but she sharply told us to go to the counter instead. We had to wait for more than 5 minutes for someone to finally come over and eventually seat us. This is definitely understandable if the restaurant was packed and all were busy, but it only seemed like one person (who was also designated as the concierge) was working while everyone else was slacking and standing around doing seemingly nothing.

Food wise, quality was also poor. Seafood generally wasn’t fresh (we ordered the boiled prawns… which were more like stale dry cocktail prawns, French oysters… which were small and I also don’t believe were shucked properly given the excessive shell debris). For the mains, we got the mussels and two different fish. My Atlantic cod was dry and tasteless, and for the price paid, the cod served was only 1/6 of the small plate. To make matters worse, I had chosen the sweet mash to go with it, but it was served with fries. When asked, the staff nonchalantly told me that they had run out of sweet mash, although they had not thought to let me know beforehand. Virgin mojito was also extremely diluted.

All in all, wouldn’t patron this place but maybe it’s a one-off negative experience. It was pleasant and cooling to sit outdoors...
