Very disappointing service: Did a proper reservation.but waiter did not check the correct table where we were supposed to be seated and just unprofessionally gave us a table that was still dirty that needed us to wait for them to clean Brought the appetizers so very late that the nachos already went all soggy upon arrival and only after we followed-up Lack of proper manners / decorum while serving the drinks - didn’t serve the sparkling water onto each glass and whilst serving the other drinks, waiter served from one end to another end by just passing over the drink to the without walking over to the guest resulting for the drink to drip all over the table No waiter was in sight when you need one Too little gravy for a slab of steak Pasta order came late- didn’t arrive together with the steak orders Asked for extra gravy to the waiter and he completely forgot to bring them The arrival of foods were not really well coordinated— Waiter #1 asked us if we are ready to receive the Mains (this is when the appetizers came too late and we were just about to start). Few minutes later, we were surprised when Waiter #2 brought in the Mains when we specifically told Waiter #1 that we will only call them once we are ready to receive the Mains Doneness of the steak was one step grilled than what we have ordered Glass that waiter gave us had lipstick stains
All in all, I am not going to go back to this restaurant ever ! Amount paid is not worth it with the...
Read moreDid not book a table as we weren’t sure of the crowd and was prepared to eat elsewhere if quayside isle is crowded since it is a Friday during the March holidays. Thankfully when we were there the restaurant is busy but not as crowded. Ahzil who served us allowed us to choose our seat freely, and we were able to get a secluded table outdoor by the side. He is also very prompt in bringing us the menu and coming back to ask for our orders.
We had pina colada, house wine, sirloin and lamp chops for the adults, and chocolate milkshake, Mac and cheese and bolognese spaghetti for the kid. The drinks were served together and they all tasted good. The pina colada was actually better than the one we had at Tanjong Beach Club. The food was good, served piping hot and almost all together so we were able to have our meals without waiting for each other.
Carlson took our check at the end of our meal, and was prompt and friendly, letting us check the bill and settling it fast.
Definitely a good place to chill in the nice surroundings and my kid was asking when we can be back!
It would have been an icing on the cake if there was a complimentary cake served for my kid, since it’s his birthday (which we told Ahzil but he said nothing...
Read moreWe went for a family dinner at the Rock Bar Burger & Steakhouse, and I would say that it lived up to our expectations. The location is inside the Quayside Aisle, just at the entrance on the left side, and it's very easy to find. The menu features a mix of American, Mexican, and Italian cuisine, offering a good variety, especially if you are coming intending to enjoy some good drinks. There is a good variety of tidbits, appetizers, and main courses. We tried their chicken satay and chicken quesadillas. We wanted to try the nachos, but they did not have the vegetarian option that my wife wanted to try. We ended up sharing an Australian rib-eye for our main course, as we were a bit full from our drinks and starters. It tasted good, but I thought it was done well against our request for medium-well. The service was excellent, with two smiling gentlemen serving with enthusiasm. The place itself has a good vibe because it's right beside the yacht club, and all the fancy, expensive yachts are docked here. We took a good walk after dinner and said goodbye to this place. We would definitely go here again to enjoy a drink or two with good food together...
