Situated at Bukit Gombak and jammed between a few other restaurants, Habib has made a name for themselves.
Wanted to makan dishes and so we decided on Habib. My sis loves this place for their butter naan and normally when I'm here, I would just almost always have individual dishes. However today was different decided to try individual dishes and boy it was a smart choice.
Sambal Petai, Black Pepper Beef, Sambal Sotong and Beancurds were all super sedap lah! Delicious!!!! Simple mouth watering. I can't gush enough on how good it was. And the portion size was absolutely fair. I don't care if I sound bias but it really was that good. And service timing was also on point. Maybe it was off peak but we had our drinks in less then 10 minutes and another 10 minutes all our orders were served.
My only grouse would be that a clearer instructions about the ordering process and the clearing if tables be put in place.
All in all, I would definately be here again and hopefully they keep up to their standards! Pls do not falter or regress cause that would be absolutely disappointing.

However, my recent visit left much to be desired. While a "self-service" and "return-tray" system might be fitting for bustling hawker centers or food courts, its implementation in a "restaurant" setting, especially one with a substantial service staff, raises eyebrows.

This departure from traditional restaurant service norms felt incongruent and lacked the personal touch that distinguishes a dining experience. While some may argue that such practices are becoming standard, I beg to differ.
In essence, what matters most to me is service with genuine care and attentiveness, qualities that seem to have been overlooked in favour...
Read moreThis restaurant is the 1st Halal establishment that I know that introduces the Beef Kut Teh to the muslim community in Singapore. Over the years the flavours have not changed a bit and the soup is so refreshing and not with a overpowering of herbal fragrant & taste. Not too salty either but just nice for me. Though, the soup is good and beef is tender, the amount of meat, to some maybe, too little and soup is too much. Serve with sambal, I think, belacan and white rice.
We also ordered Beef Claypot Rice and its is also 1 of my favourite here. The portion is a lot for the rice, sauce & beef but a bit too salty because it also have salted fish in the sauce and the burnt bits the bottom of the claypot is the best part and to not get too burnt you must scrap and mix the rice with sauce etc, as soon as it is served.
Sambal Kangkong is a must as side dish and the portion for small is generous and delicious. Well...
