Today 9th Nov, we were at this shop., we ordered 2 bee hoon with 2 cups of tea.
After we have finished our meal, with the tea almost done, I have to take my medicine, so I went over to the counter and asked for a small refill of PLAIN water, the woman at the coffee counter was not even friendly to answer my request.
There was a water dispenser at the counter, so I asked again and dispense it myself, after that I filled up about half of my coffee cup, she told me to pay 30cents (which in my view absurdly extortbitant) for half a cup
I commented to her saying you could have told me before I dispense the water for my medicine and I also question the rational behind the 30cents, her answer was they need to boil the water.
It is not about the 30 cents, it's about her attitude and the way they treat the customers, we have been going there regularly on most weekends but after this episode, we will NOT patronise this shop ANYMORE. After all, their food is just ordinary and...
Read moreHad a bad experience here. We went on the 15th day of the lunar month so quite a lot of dishes was already sold out when we arrived at dinner time. The main problem was this waitress that came along and hard sell the expensive dishes and try to make us order 4 ala carte noodles although we already ordered rice and a few dishes. Although I ordered a small size for all dishes, the most expensive so called signature dish was a large size. My elderly aunties paid for it while I stepped away and they did not give a receipt - does not seem to be an oversight. I asked another waitress about the bill when I realized the change is wrong, and she said that it's not possible that no receipt is given. It was then she apologized for it and said that the earlier waitress had indicated it was a large size. Such strange behavior, I will not have the confidence to revisit the...
Read moreActually a bit rip off for the vegetarian bee Hoon. The sign stated $1.50 for bee Hoon only. $3.00 for beehoon with ingredients. So I ordered the $3.00.
Look at this packet of measly few bits of fried beancurd skin, thin pieces of mock charsiew and few strips of mushroom. That’s the additional $1.50 for ingredients compared to only $1.50 for beehoon only. I feel ripped off.
Yes, shop owner is going to say costs all up, price all up, inflation, labor costs, electrical costs etc but I still find this a rip off.
Auntie was trying to upsell me spring rolls, curry puff. But when I asked what does the $3.00 beehoon included spring roll, she said no, only like that - pointing to the packet she prepared. Quite surprised actually. I happened to walk by so I decided to takeaway for my mum breakfast but she said it’s not worth it plus not tasty, so I won’t buy from...
