My partner & I had our dinner here on 13 Nov 2024. The service was terrible & we will not return again. (albeit, we felt the food was good) -According to their website, this place closes at 11.30pm. We arrived at ~ 10.20pm & started ordering. -At 10.45pm, 1 of the staff came to inform us to make payment as they were closing their counter. This was understandable but his tone was dismissive & he looked annoyed. -At 10.55pm, we requested for their refillable corn tea. The staff frowned & looked at his watch before bringing the corn tea to us. -At 11.10pm, staff came & told us they are closing in 5mins. At this point, we were rushing to finish the food & we were the only customers in the restaurant. -At 11.15pm, staff came & told us they are closed. As u can see in the picture attached, the staff have all packed up their bags & were using their phone at the corner. The way the staff behaved & reacted made us felt very rushed & uncomfortable having our meal in this restaurant. Yes, we do understand that the staff wants to go home after a long day. However, we are not trying to make life difficult for them by purposefully taking our own sweet time to eat. Our point as customer is, didn’t the shop states that it will close at 11.30pm? Why would the staff engage in such passive aggressive actions to get customers to leave before closing time in order for them to go back early. To be fair, we do feel this place has its merits. -Food portions were huge -Banchans were aplenty & refillable It’s a pity the service ruins the entire experience. This is a really long review but I wish the restaurant will look into this. As customers, it is a painful experience to be chased to consume food in the restaurant. It is embarrassing when a restaurant cannot even fulfil basic customer service standards.

Visited this Korean Pocha for dinner on a Monday night. The crowd levels were consistent, with a few empty tables available. The place offers casual dining with a variety of stews on the menu. 💧 Complimentary cold barley water was provided. 6 Banchan refillable side dishes are given, and all are so good! The spinach was our favourite 😍 ----- 🍲 Steamed Egg Highly recommended! The portion was generous, and the egg was wonderfully jiggly, soft, and piping hot—perfect for sharing. It’s a soothing dish to start your meal. I rate: 4/5 🌟 🍝 Pork Japchae This dish was a bit of a miss for me. The noodles were overly moist and oily, and the spinach was inconsistently chopped, resembling the banchan side dish. While the taste itself was decent, the overly oily texture made the eating experience feel a bit sloppy. I would have preferred a drier preparation. I rate: 3/5 🌟 🥘 Korean Army Stew This was a filling option, kept boiling hot over a portable gas stove. However, I was disappointed by the lack of key ingredients like baked beans and rice cakes, which are typically essential to this dish. While the stew was hearty and satisfying, it didn’t feel complete without these elements. I rate: 3/5 🌟 Overall, the food was decent. If you're visiting, the steamed egg stands out as a must-try dish!

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. Was packed by the time we left, and there were folks being turned away. So come early if you’d like to try! We ordered a bbq meat set, army stew, fried rice and some additional pork. In terms of which was the nicest I’d say the beef on the set, which had good flavour and texture. Since you’re able to cook it by your own here, you do get to choose how charred you want it to be. For me I prefer a little charred but not too much like how you’d fry a bacon. The fried rice was a miss, comparatively to the rest. The army stew was splendid tho, the flavour of the soup was aromatic and tastefully done. For the sliced pork, I thought it was alright when blow-torched, but even better after putting it on the grill (this is not how it should be eaten tho). There were complimentary starting dishes and also ice cream. The Korean ice cream had a plenty of different choices. Not sure if it’s unlimited for the ice cream, but we were full by the time we had finished our meal.

Checked out this place cos it’s new and so IT HAS NO GST + THEY HAVE FREE ICE-CREAM. This place started to get crowded around 6.30pm, so do make your reservations. army stew is surprisingly affordable ($20.8, 7/10) and their SOUP WAS DELICIOUS. My mum kept wanting to get rice to go with the soup at the end even though she was already stuffed. Their BBQ set ($88, 8/10) might sound expensive but their meats were all of quality cuts!!! Absolute fav was the wagyu ribeye - it was so tender and juicy. I will also rec the marinated pork collar - sweet & savoury without being overwhelming. I love how it came with free egg, cheese & kimchi to go along!!! The cheese kimchi fried rice ($12, 7/10) is a TRUE GEM - $12 and it comes with an egg and an insane amount of cheese. super value for money & super shiok. The bossam ($20, 7/10) was flame-grilled at your table. The pork belly was tender & soft which went really well with the garlic and green peppers.

After appearing on my IG feed for its lunch deal that caught my attention, I absolutely had to pay a visit and it was such a steal! Lunch set was valued at $9.80++ and it included free flow banchan. And what was amazing to me - it's the same price for the beef pot rice! I thought maybe smaller portion, thinner slices, etc but nooooo. The restaurant didn't compromise on the portion size nor the thickness of each beef slice. Each beef slice could be cooked further by placing it against the earthen pot. Satisfying and tender. And I was pleasantly surprised to see kimchi rice instead of white rice, which turned even more delicious when they turned crisp at the bottom. The lunch set came with six variety of banchan such as potato, spinach and tofu. I love the kimchi here - slightly sourish with a bit of spicy kick. The restaurant even provided cold barley tea that was refreshing against SG's heat. Definitely be back and bringing others too!

We just had an incredible dining experience at Hankang Pocha Singapore! 🇰🇷✨ From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Hankang Pocha offers the most affordable Korean Pocha experience in Singapore, which is perfect if you're craving authentic flavors without breaking the bank. 🍲💸 The highlight was definitely their Ribbon Fish Seafood Stew - they are having a whopping 50% discount for this dish from 6th to 30th June! 🐟🎉 We visited their Tanjong Pagar outlet (50 Tanjong Pagar Road) but they also have an outlet at Serangoon Road. The decor is stunning and authentically Korean – check out the pics we took of their beautiful entrance and interior! 📸✨🏮 What's even better? There's NO GST (9%) and they even treat you to a FREE ice cream for each Google review you leave! 🍦😍 Overall, our visit to Hankang Pocha was delightful. The food was fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was just right. 🌟👌
