Jumbo Seafood at Dempsey offers a delightful dining experience with delicious food and a relaxing ambiance amidst lush greenery. We recently dined here with a group of eight. Highly recommend outdoor seating especially at night when the weather is cooler. Great place for big group and out of town friends.

The star of the night was the chili crab with fried mantou, which was a steal at 50% off for members. The mantou was light and fluffy—not greasy—perfect for soaking up the flavorful, mildly spicy crab sauce. We even ordered extra mantou to dip.

For mains, we shared fried rice and mee goreng (both in M size), but the portions were so generous we couldn’t finish. The chicken satay was another standout—juicy, tender, and with a smoky charcoal flavor. The thicker cuts of meat kept it from drying out. We loved it so much, we reordered!

Other highlights included the honey pork ribs, which were perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior and tender interior, though slightly on the sweeter side. The chili clams were a great option too, with the spice masking the briny clam flavor. The salted egg prawns were rich and creamy—definitely a dish for sharing due to its heaviness.

The broccoli with scallops was clean and healthy, while the signature spinach tofu with crab meat was another crowd favorite—rich yet balanced. Lastly, the thin beef slices were tender with a char-grilled flavor, but the accompanying pepper sauce was a bit too salty for our liking (thankfully, it was served separately).

Service was ok. Waitress seemed a tired and impatient. She missed out on 1-2 of ours orders. And our reorder took longer than expected to be served. By the time we were ready to leave. However, they didn’t allow any cancellations even though dish had not arrived yet. Definitely cutting the service staff some slack because it was the end of the night and they must be super tired after a long shift. So I don’t mind. Overall we had...

We came in this year July for a birthday celebration and a waitress mentioned that if we sign up for the membership, there will be a $200 promotion voucher for birthday meals, which can be used for future birthday visit, and we did sign up. We returned to your restaurant today after we had enquired with your staff (receptionist) over the phone during table reservation whether we are able to utilise the $200 birthday voucher and she told us that we are able to do so (We called in case if we are unable to use, we can change another restaurant in advance) . However, before we placed our order during our visit today, we asked your staff ( Angeline ) if the voucher is still valid and useable, your staff replied that there is no $200 birthday voucher, only a $100 voucher and minimum spending of at least $200, which is totally different from previously when we applied for the membership. So what happened to the $200 birthday voucher? Honestly I don’t really care about the voucher, but you guys made such a mess that it ruined my birthday celebration, and if your staff is unable to provide clear details for membership sign-up, PLEASE educate them and not to sell your membership package until they are CLEAR what they are supposed to advise customers. Totally it was a horrible experience and really ruined my birthday celebration.

Further, your staff, Angeline, told us that the membership has always been like this, but during July period when your other staff sold us the membership, they did not tell us anything about the terms and conditions at all. When we called to enquire the voucher, no one said anything as well. Totally bad experience we had...

Regular customer here, service always doesn't dissapoints me.When we entered the restraunt Manager Miiko greated us with a sweet smile on her face making us feel comfortable before dining in.When we were seated down at our table Ye Peng kindly asked ask what we would like to drink and assisted us very carefully. He took our order and during the ordering he ensure that we do not have any dietary restrictions. After ordering,he actually told us that one of our dishes which is the mentaiko big prawn wasn't avalible but when the manager(Miko) heard it she ensured us that we do not have to worry she will tell the kitchen to cook it for us. I feel that this was a very heart-warming action to us as she would do more by going an extra mile in service.I feel that this kind of manager should be well taken care of as nowadays this kind of manager in service is hard to find. Even though everything was excellent but there was somethings that dissapointed me during this visit. I felt that the food today was very average, basically not up to standard at all. Dishes I felt that was disappointing was the kam heong lala, and the wok fried cod fish with special sauce. The kitchen management should really improve in their food qualiity standards,by ensuring food that is good and not mid to allow a good customer retention. No matter how good the service is just by having food that are not up to standard it spoils the whole dining experience. The kitchen should really take note of this! Overall would still visit but hope that the food...

Food mediocre, portions not big We were told we need to leave by 7.30pm before we were seated. That works out to 2 hours for dinner which should be ok but good to note they seem to be rather strict with this. We had the set meal which consists of few dishes, most dishes were split into 4 portions for before they were served. Seafood donut tossed in salad cream. Unfortunately the cream was overpowering and jerlak. The "donut" was meaty and soft and I thought it would be better if it was served hot and crispy. Scallop wrap in yam ring. Yam flavour overpowered the fresh Scallop. I recommend to dissect and eat them separately. King Prawn stir fried with garlic and glazed soya. The prawn was fresh and easy to peel. The glazed soya sauce was sweet and salty. Cod fish steamed with preserved radish and seasonal vegetables. The fish was split into 4 portions and served on a base layer of steamed Tofu. I felt the chef had a great idea but wasn't executed properly, most of the fish was on one side of the plate leaving other side rather empty. Could have been impressive if executed properly. Next is the famous chilli crab. The sauce was spicy but something amiss with the favour. For some reason the crab meat stuck onto shell which made it a struggle to eat. There are better chilli crabs in Singapore There was a fried rice with the set meal but its forgettable Last but not least the mango pudding which I have to say is the star of dinner. Thick like puree with strong mango flavour made me craving for more.

I tend to avoid these touristy seafood places as you usually paid a hefty more than your neighbourhood zichar stalls but on the occasion that the company is picking up thw tab why not? First let's get to whats good. The service was impeccable, my iced Chinese tea was never empty, always promptly topped up and with 3 cubes of ice. My personal plate was cleared when I was done with each dish served, timing of the dishes coming out was perfect too, there was never a moment where we felt the dishes were too slow or too fast, which meant that every dish I tucked into was pipping hot. The ambience too was great as had reserved a private room that comfortably sat 10 of us. Now onto the food, the two crab dishes we ordered chilli and black pepper I felt were pretty standard, crab was fresh, meat was sweet but the sauces and cooking were just ok nothing to write home about. The deep fried seabass with Thai mango salad was also average at best. I didn't like the salt and pepper roast chicken, it was dry and pretty tasteless. The chicken and pork satay too was passable. I did like the sambal kangkong with its crispy dried shrimp sambal. The salted egg praw.n was OK too, perhaps the only dish I liked was the coffee pork ribs that was tender, juicy, well marinated and cooked. Other than that nothing much stood out.
