I called 2 days ago to enquire about the price for their crabs, and asked if I can make reservation for today (Mother’s Day). The male employee answered my enquiry accordingly and said that I cannot make reservation because he’s not sure there will be crabs delivered on Sunday. He said that I can call at 4pm on Sunday to order. When I called at 4pm just now, the same male employee said reservations for crab are full. I was shocked and told him that he was the one who told me that I cannot make reservations 2 days ago, and request me to call back today at 4pm. He just replied, “Yah reservations are full.” I’m very disappointed because I wanted to order for Mother’s Day as my mom heard that the food at this Zhi Char place is good but yet to try. The hkm is very umami, recommended by friend to taste here. Definitely better than the hkm at hawker center. One thing missing is the wok hei, was told by friend that the boss fried better. Will go back to try my luck if the boss fried it. They are famous for their crab dishes.

Went back 2nd times and ordered the steam crab with bee hoon. At $85/kg the carb was so fresh and the bee hoon actually absorbed the soup and not soggy. One of the best steam crab with bee hoon I had, although it is a bit salty after you eat for a bit. We had also the fried prawn noodle and some other dishes, the steam crab bee hoon will over power all the other dishes.

Patronised this stall for past 21 years and still love by my family being the best crabs.
