Booked a hyundai experience tour and wanted to visit the Na oh resturant housed in the hyundai innovation centre but we cannot get reservations initially.
After the tour, we decided to drop by the resturant and thankfully, we managed to walk in. The service staff were friendly and professional. They could named the dishes and explained the ingredients. I choosed the butterfish gamasot as the main while my friend choosed the pyongyang cold noodle in dongchimi broth. I am quite satisfied with the butterfish served on hotstone pot rice the rice has a subtle seaweed taste and the fish is grilled to perfection and taste fresh. Thankfully the fish is boneless which makes the exp better. There r no added seasoning for the fish and rice. So for those who like stronger tasting food, may not like the fish itself. But then again, because the banchan has stronger seasoning, when eaten together, the flavours blend harmiously in your mouth. Therefore, giving u different flavours when eaten together with different banchan/sauce. As for the cold noodles, i personally felt it is nice but my friend thought the dongchimi broth is too overpowering for her, making the cold noodle smells like rotten radish and she absolutely hated the radish smell. Therefore, be warn, for those who don't like radish, do not order this as the main dish. For me, the taste and the texture of the noodle served in the cold broth makes it a perfect dish for summer. With the added vinegar and mustard, it gives an added layer of flavouring. But i would suggest u taste the broth first, so u can taste the beef taste in the broth, (I personally think the base is more beefy than radish), before adding the vinegar and mustard.
Oh yar, i forget to mention the dessert. The magkeolli shave ice is soft and refreshing with the mild taste of fermented rice, served together with the sweetened strawberries, it is a perfect match. However, i do think the toasted rice honey stick served on the side is abit too hard for my liking.
Overall, for the price point of $78++, i think it is worth the money. Be sure to make ur reservations earlier, esp if u intend to go for the hyundai exp tgt with...
Read moreMy family and I are looking forward for yesterday as it is to celebrate my birthday.
Unfortunately, I received a call from teacher at 4plus near 5pm that my son is having fever at 38DC. Hence, we decided to cancel our 7pm reservation after much discussion with my husband. Called the restaurant at 530pm but it only opened at 6pm.
Went to pick my son and handle him first as his fever yet to subside. I called again at 6:19pm: first time went to voicemail, leave a message second time picked up, I have shared what happened to my son and due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancelled the reservation. Staff didn’t share much but acknowledged it.
Staff called back and shared that we should not leave voice mail and said due to resturant policy, they have to charge $30 cancellation fee per pax. Tried to negotiate as we would not want to cancel if my son is not running fever and shared that I have actually talked to a staff after my voice mail and I can’t inform early as teacher only informed last minute too. Staff then said will checked and come back to me.
Staff called back and shared that they can’t find anyone to replace us as it is too last minute and ask us to find ourselves. To be honest, the location is not convenient per se and yourself already said too last minute, so how am I going to find replacement when I need to handle my sick kid.
All and all, they still charge us $90 for the cancellation fee of 3 pax without really understanding the background despite my explanation a few times.
I totally understand business is business, resturant need to earn money and they have lost a table due to my cancellation. However, I think no matter how they should practice flexibility for those case which are genuine like mine. If given a choice , I would not cancel the reservation but unfortunately things happened unexpectedly.
Would I come again? I will reconsider as this restaurant has not sympathy towards situation for family...
Read moreThis Korean restaurant, located on the 3rd floor of the Hyundai Motor Innovation Centre in West Singapore, might not be the easiest to reach—but it’s so popular that getting a reservation feels like winning a prize.
We were lucky to dine here, and it was truly worth the effort.
The Chungju (Korean rice wine) was a standout—fragrant, with a strong rice aroma, subtly sweet and sour, and incredibly smooth. Every sip was a delight.
The seasonal dinner menu is thoughtfully curated, changing with the seasons. Many of the vegetables are home-grown right in the centre’s own plantation, and you can taste the freshness. The appetisers came in perfect portions, each dish refreshing and flavorful, waking up our palates and building anticipation for the mains.
There are three main dish options, and we tried them all:
The beef soup was outstanding—classic Korean style, with tender beef that melts in your mouth, and a broth that’s rich and flavorful, but not too salty or spicy.
The vegetable soup was a surprise favorite—vibrant, deeply flavorful, and incredibly fresh without any grassy or overpowering notes. Honestly, it might be the best vegetable soup I've ever had.
The cold noodles were also fantastic, with a complex broth full of layered flavors. The noodles absorbed the essence of the soup beautifully, making every bite enjoyable.
Dessert was creative and delicious—ice cream coated in cookie crumbs, sesame, and peanut butter, with a cherry jam center. The sweet and sour balance was perfect and left a lasting impression.
As a fine dining experience, the service is top-notch. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations and explaining each course with care.
And best of all? The price is surprisingly reasonable for such a high-quality, memorable meal.
I’m definitely ready to fight for another reservation....
