OOIISHII — Restaurant in Singapore

Tried most of the pies here, and they were rather underwhelming. The star of the pie was the pastry, which was very buttery and flaky, really quite good. I believe they use some Japanese flour. That aside, the fillings were meagre - couldn’t taste much shabu beef (or truffle) nor seafood in those pies. The seafood pie was advertised as shrimp and fish, but was more of a vegetable pie with a few tiny shrimp and almost no fish. Curry beef and teriyaki chicken pie were better as I liked the sauce used, and the latter was more generous with fillings but still had too much vegetables. I would only recommend the teriyaki chicken pie, though the kids really liked the curry beef one. Would rather pay a bit more for more fillings.

We were hungry after our trip back from Bintan and discovered Oishii at Urban Vista while searching for good food near Tanah Merah mrt. What a great find! Although it’s located inside a condo, getting in is manageable—just go to the gate, scan the QR code, register as a guest, and the outlet will approve and send you a QR code pass to get in.

We tried the beef pie and unagi pizza—both were amazing! The pie had a beautifully crispy, buttery crust with a moist and flavourful filling. The unagi pizza was packed with ingredients, and the teriyaki sauce added a perfect sweet-savoury balance. We ordered a few more to bring back after having some quick bites while waiting for our second order.

First time order and is pleasantly impressed with the quality of the pizzas and pies. Full of ingredients and dough was nicely baked. Salad was nice with fresh vegetables. One downside which is not the quality of the food but the way to get to the restaurant. The security guard at the condo urban vista is extremely rude and sarcastic when I told him I want to collect food at KobePi. He sarcastically told me off by saying are you sure you are at the right place, here is a condo you know? I suggest the shop owners in the condo collectively do something about it if not your sales will be affected because of such hostile...
