PastaMania - Italian Casual Dining @ Tampines Mall — Restaurant in Singapore

Unbelievably terrible service. If you are craving for pasta, don't go there. My first time ever expereince in any restaurant to be left hanging outside the store by 3 different staff.

They had a sign saying wait to be seated, so I queued. The first waiter came and mentioned that the store is full and we had to queue. Hence I left my number and decided to wait near by the store. About 10 mins later, I realised that there were empty seats despite and hence I told them that I was in queue and asked if there were available seats. A female waitress came and told me that yes there is one at the non air conditioned area. I replied that I'm fine. She replied ok and left. I waited for another 10 minutes thinking that she might need to attend to another person but she just carried on doing different things. I then approached another staff asking if I should be going into the restaurant. He then said he is not sure. I told him that the female waitress (directing at the female staff) told me that there are seats and left me here. He said that he will check with the initial female staff, instead, he walked the other direction leaving me alone at the queue again.

I use to be a regular ordering online and dining in. But I am sure I am never going...

I ordered an aglio olio and specified that I wanted extra olive oil. When the dish came I couldn't taste the olive oil and asked the waitress for help. The waitress went back to the kitchen and got me a small sauce cup of oil. Thinking it's olive oil I poured the oil into my dish. Turns out it's plain oil. I was so upset because my aglio olio just turned into super oily aglio. And it still doesn't have the olive oil taste. I feedback again to the staff and they told me, they only have olive oil in the kitchen they don't have other types of oil. So I asked to see what brand of oil they are using since they only have olive oil. They refused to show me and said they threw away the oil bottle already. I went straight to the kitchen staff and requested for a sample of their olive oil. (And I verified with the kitchen staff they had both cooking oil and olive oil). They gave me a small cup which I tasted and found there was no olive oil fragrance at all. So I just wanted to leave this feedback here. The last time I was here, olive oil tasted much better, the reopened pastamania's olive oil is truly disappointing and tasted just...

Service was mediocre, but not a big deal. However, the food was indeed horrible. That being said, one should not expect much quality from this restaurant as I think it still classifies as fast food, but the pricing is still considered expensive and the food, was really bad.

I ordered a Carbonara ( $12), upsize (an additional $2.70) can’t remember the exact amounts, comes without a drink. The dish was incredibly under salted, the cream sauce obviously had a high flour to milk ratio, bacon bits (I assume turkey, as the restaurant is halal certified), was stale. No amounts of salt and pepper could save the dish.

I am not a fussy eater and would generally finish what’s on my plate, but this was particularly hard to finish.

This place seems to be popular amongst the students though, maybe other pasta dishes aren’t bad after all. However, I will not return, not worth it for a quick meal and paying above $10 for a bad meal...
