Stingray have a smell as I think not fresh. Once i have the first bite on the white rice i was very disappointed. White rice is not fragrance and if I not wrong use cheap rice. Rice is very important as if the food not nice, a bowl of rice will play an important role to activate the whole meal. If the food is nice but rice not nice, it will bring down the standard too. If the food not nice and white rice still not nice whole standard will drop to double. The vegetables we order also normal and oily. The beansprouts is more than the main vegetables which is qing long cai. Only the signature wu xiang is so far so good on our table. Luckily we did not order the prawn paste chicken. We see the next table order the prawn paste chicken it was very dark in colour which seem to be overcooked and a bit dry. We was a bit disappointed with the food. Sadly we may not come again. I like it they have big ceiling fans which makes the interior pretty cooling as well, and probably it helps in the ventilation where the smell and smoke from the mookata doesn't really stick on poeple's clothes. There were a few stalls opened by I ordered everything from the SG Umami stall. The prawn noodles was good, loved the soup and the thin noodles. Prawn wasn't very fresh it was kinda powdery when peeling off the shell. The fries went well with the sauce, the meitaiko tamago was good but size not satisfactory (but it's cheap). The lala was okay but the soup was overly salty. Thought the SG Umami signature pizza was recommended but then I enjoyed the thin crust but I didn't know what's on the pizza. The service crew was nice and trying their best but the major blunder was made byj the one taking order. She had messed up the orders and people who arrived later got their food first. Special shout out to Jane who tried her best to salvage the situation but our experience was too bad for us to want to come back again. Be prepared for a loooong wait if you visit.
