Came here on a Sunday evening and was pleasantly surprised to see a row of shops as I exit the railway walk 🚶♀️ The prata shop was crowded but still enough space to find seats. Indoor seating was air conditioned. Payment at the counter 1st as you order. Water is not complimentary. 2 types of curry and utensils are self service at the side. I love how the free flow curry is hot as well in little serving plates so we don't over take. Service was really quick as well. Waited about 15 mins for everything to be served! 🥞 Cheese Prata was really crispy and centre was loaded with mozzarella cheese. Portion size was good too! I rate: 5/5 🌟 🥚 Plaster Prata was slightly overdone, but egg was still runny. Prata itself is more doughy and not as light and crispy. I rate: 3/5 🌟 🧇 Mini Ultimate Chicken Murtabak was loaded with chicken, mushroon, cheese inside a prata based carb. Very crispy and evey bite had a good amount of ingredients. I rate: 4/5 🌟 🍞 Chicken Roti John was too much bread to filling ratio to me. 2:1 of bread: filling. Filling was very mushy and I thought I ordered otah for fillings. Bread was crispy and soft on the inside. Didn't really like this because iys like bread + mush. I rate: 1/5 🌟 🍝 Maggi Goreng. Wah this one idk why it's damn good. The wok hei is strong and the flavours really come through. The vegetables are still crisp and noodles are springy. It's actually my favourite thing at this prata place and I would order this for sure again. I rate: 5/5 🌟 Teh Tarik was meh only. Not very strong tea flavour.

Deliciously and a diverse range of prata to eat from! Always worth to come for their consistently delicious classics or try their unique creations. Slightly pricey but considering their efficient service, free-flow curry, and air-conditioning, its totally worth it! The owner says their plain prata determines if they are a proper prata shop ornot; I agree! Their plain prata is delicious! Appropriately oily, crispy, and so doughy, I fell in love!! ❤️❤️ Their egg prata is the most worth since its twice the size of plain prata. Their prata goreng is an interesting take; I really like the spices used to make it rich and tasty! We tried their plaster blaster at a whopping $6. It had sou vie egg, thick tirkey ham slices, and yummy sauce. It was pretty good, but feels more like a western breakfast plopped on top of prata. Not my thing, but might be yours! They have free flow fish and chicken curry constantly refilled to be hot and piping! Rich consistency and taste! Their teh tarik is smooth but a bit too sweet for me. Their mango lassi was tasty!! Not too sweet and slightly fermenty. I was worried about the long queue and wait time, but they were really fast, food came in about 15mins. Ordering food was really quick too! And you can pay with many methods. During lunch hours they set down a partition in the middle of the restaurant which makes it more intimate and less noisy. I appreciate their service! I also really appreciate their menu having both vegetarian and vegan options! The place is also halal.

Springleaf PRATA @ Railmall, Bukit Timah A Sunday morning outing that didn’t start well we arrived at 8.10 am! Without a doubt the worst service ever! A table next to us, came 10 minutes after we ordered, got served before us, and the server screwed up our order completely! They were completely overwhelmed, likely short of staff, and the face of the server looked like thunder & rain plus argued that there was nothing wrong with our order! Our next table, a bunch of Sunday morning cyclists, 1 female, 5 males, probably in their mid 30th, looked like a PMT bunch, talked so loudly like they owned the world, didn’t give a crap on other diners near by, and when they left the table, left it behind dirty and filthy! And here I thought Singapore has become a gracious country! Nope it didn’t! Food: Prata : I had 2 Kosong, my buddy had one with egg, our 3rd companion who arrived a little late, didn’t even bother to order as he could see the staff were not able to handle! The Prata itself, was the usual Springleaf style, a tad crusty but looked more like a flat dense bread! Definitely not a fluffy style 3 out of 10 Fish Curry Gravy : You are better off to bring your own, the thick floury style sauce was below average, hardly had any resemblance of a fish style curry, and the tamarind was hardly noticeable! 2 out of 10 Chicken Curry Gravy : Actually if you buy Yeo’s Chicken curry you are better off! This thick & floury gravy was totally abmissal! Probably the worst I ever had! 1 out of 10 Over all Quality of food? Below standard! Actually not just disappointing, completely unacceptable! Only surpassed by the worst service ever! Go somewhere else it can only be better no matter how! Sunday morning was completely spoiled! #foodgloriousfood #singapore #foodsg #sgfoodie #sgfoodporn #gourmet #cuisine #foodagram #foodaddict #SGfood #sgfoodstagram #heritage #springleafprata #rotiprata #sundaybreakfast #worstfoodever

One of places to get ur prata fixes. Not one that i would recommend highly.. But if u are around d area, this is one place u can go to. We have tried many others and this is not one of the top few that we have in our list BUT its good enough tk get 4 stars... Yay ! 😀 The prices are affordably ranged. The prata egg is rectangular in shape, not the typical large square type. In terms of taste, we gave it a 3 out 5. The curry was rather weak to carry the taste of the prata that we had bought. Fyi, we bought 2x egg prata, 2 kosong and 1x egg, mushroom n chess prata.. And since tapau, only 1 packet of curry was given. No choice of dhal or curry, but only 1 packet of gravy? Ok lets look objectively, assumption by seller.. Lets chill, so we brought back and tried. It was average in taste actually. D hype written by many was that it tasted great, but skeptism aside, we tried, we tried objectively. Reflecting on the whole place, the cleanliness of the venue (minus d toilet), we will give this place a 5 out 5. One of the cleanest prata venues that we had been to.. For this, we can safely say that they really prioritze cleanliness n hygiene. As a summary, We agree with many others about this place being maintained well but in terms of taste, we have to say that our palates could be different. So ya, all in all, we still stick to 4 stars.. Cheers! #prata #railmall #singapore #piquedwanderer #famwithsten

It was one of those late-night HungryGoWhere. I was seriously craving prata and started searching for a good place to satisfy the craving. This particular shop came highly recommended, so out of curiosity & wondering what made it so special so we decided to give it a try. Even though it was already late, the shop was still bustling with customers. I insisted on sitting at a corner table that hadn’t been cleaned yet, just because I liked the spot. While we were contemplating whether to wait or move, we noticed the staff was clearly short-handed. Suman, who seemed to be doing it all cashier, order taker, server, and even table cleaner, noticed us. In the middle of serving another customer at the counter, he signaled that he’d be with us shortly, so we decided to wait. Despite the overwhelming crowd, the customer service wasn’t compromised at all. Hungry & excited as first-timers, we ordered several dishes based on Suman’s recommendations & he didn’t disappoint. As an Indian, I can say the prata was legit. It definitely deserved a review! However, Fish & chicken curry could have been better but definitely nice I would rate 8/10 for the curry. Prata is 10/10. We couldn’t finish everything, so I packed the leftover prata & sealed curry to take home (Attached a photo). A big thank you to Suman for the great food and service. We will be back!

I recently visited this outlet and ordered the Mutton Maggi Goreng, and I must say, it was actually really good! The mutton was tender and flavourful, and the Maggi goreng was extremely tasty. I also had the kambing soup - it was really peppery but I enjoyed the flavour too. What made the experience even better was the curry station, where I could help myself to the curry and try the two different types available. Although some people have complained about the service, I don't think they're obligated to give fantastic service. It's a fast-eat-fast-go kind of place, and the food is the real star of the show. Besides, the fact that I could enjoy decent Indian food in air-conditioning made up for any shortcomings in the service. On a side note, they were quite fast with the food. Might be because I went around 6+pm on a weekday, and it was before the dinner crowd. Overall, I highly recommend Springleaf Prata Place to anyone looking for delicious Indian food at a reasonable price within the area. While there may be other places out there with better food or cheaper prices, this place is definitely worth a visit to satisfy your cravings.
