Teck Ghee Court Market and Food Centre is part of a town named Teck Ghee Court.

The must order food here is goona be eng kee bak ku teh. Please remember to order their famed pig trotters as well. It is to me, one of the best traditional Chinese pig trotters in Singapore.

Other classic food that you can try here includes carrot cake, braised duck rice. There is a couple of fish ball and prawn noodles stalls here but I haven't got a chance to try. The queue for the fishball noodles and pig trotters is the longest.

What I like about the place is that there is a wall murul display just right beside the market and Food Centre. It gives a nice touch and alsp showcase some of the history and information about this place.

Besides the wide range of goods and services offered by the shops here, residents and visitors can also enjoy local delicacies and buy fresh market produce and groceries from Teck Ghee Market.

There is also Ang Mo Kio Swimming Complex and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park just right opposite the place and is the perfect hang out for families and fitness enthusiasts.

Additional buildings include Ang Mo Kio Town Council which is located adjacent to...

Plenty of good food choices here, and I absolutely love the vibes of this place.

The most prominent stall, without a doubt, is Eng Kee Bak Kut Teh, which always draws a long queue. I ordered the bak kut teh soup and stewed vegetables—both were hearty and satisfying. I skipped the pig trotter this time, even though I’ve heard great things about it… maybe next round! Each bowl of BKT and the pig trotter are fixed at $8 and only 1 size. No self service of chilli. It cost 50 cents for extra.

Another gem worth mentioning is ęœˆé¦™, the stall that sells carrot cake and others traditional kueh.

Strangely I couldn't find this stall in this hawker centre directory.

One unique dish I stumbled upon—thanks to some friendly old-timers—was their sweet potato and bean sprout stir-fried with dried shrimp (hei bi). It had that smoky, savoury richness similar to char kway teow. Very flavourful with a generous amount of dried shrimp, though admittedly quite oily—so maybe not the healthiest choice, but definitely worth trying if you enjoy bold, rich flavours. A plate costs $6.

Overall, it’s a food spot that’s full of character and great finds. Can’t wait to return and...

A short walk across the road from Bishan Park, this is an old-school market, but upgraded with dry floors and bright lighting. Like any local market, it is liveliest in the morning (most stalls close after noon) with lots of seniors who congregate for kopi together after their morning exercise in the park. Bak kut teh, chinese pancakes, carrot cake and economical bee hoon are some of the highlights. And don't miss the coffee stall in the last aisle (look for the queue)!

We like to come here for breakfast dates, and occasionally bring our kids to have the fried dough fritters and to visit the aquarium shops, where they love to squeal at the sight of the live crickets and squirming worms in the plastic containers. The market boasts a good selection of vendors including a butcher selling beef, quite rare in HDB markets. Would highly recommend visitors to the park to skip the McD's and come...

Crowded in the morning in this hawker centre just opposite Bishan-AMK Park. Besides its locational advantage, the stalls sell delicious local delicacies like Chwee kueh and putuh mayam.

Had breakfast here with a group of regulars who ordered from different stalls & discovered there’s a really nicely charred wanton mee with dark soy sauce; the dried mushroom noodles also looked very delicious; the best roti prata with thick curry, the new A-one wonton mee from JB does not come with dark sauce and has thinly sliced regular char siew. Fortunately it comes with a generous amount of pork crackling scattered over the noodles & plate of lettuce, the size of the serving & the unlimited scrunchy huge sliced green chillies on the side! The teh-c-kosong was thick & creamy. yum. (all except mushroom noodles were from the second row back from facing AMK Ave 1, mushroom from first row). The middle corner bak ku teh (1st row) was closed but came highly recommended.
