FOOD IS ALRIGHT BUT RUDE/BAD SERVICE.
$94.61 (food) + $8.80 (4 drinks) -stating price for reference. food and drinks are paid separate btw.
an auntie came to take our order incl drinks, so we made payment first (CASH/PAYNOW only). while one of us was queueing to make payment, the drink store lady (wearing glasses) gave us our drinks, which one of them was wrong. we ordered: 1 waterchestnut, 1 ice lemon tea, 2 calamansi. she gave us 2 ice lemon tea instead. i told her what we ordered and she just say “but she (auntie) tell me this order”, so i asked “so cannot change isit?”, she said “cannot”. Im like HUH??? I mean..how is this my problem if yall give wrong order? She did not bother to think that the auntie relayed the wrong order. But of course after scolding her she has to change the drink to the correct order.
The fish soup was almost finished, but theres still alot of ingredients inside so we asked to refill it. Have to ask a total of 3-4 times. Understand that service may be abit slow here due to understaffing and alot of customers to serve, but it took really long, probably 10mins++.
If you read other reviews, you will realise that service is really an issue here. Food is really alright/not bad, but…for the price…maybe eat something else ba…more worth and make you less pissed off. FYI its only my first time here, and if i have to write a review for it, its pretty...
Read moreA good friend treated my wife to a very good dinner near Opal Crescent /Moonstone Lane area. I tagged along.
Very crowded during dinner time. There were 2 queues. One queue near the roadside was for getting a table (depending on your number of pax). Those with less pax, may get their tables faster depending on availablity. After getting a table, then you have to join another inside the shop to order your food.
Heard they have these 2 queueing system to avoid conflicts of who was there first or ordering without a table. Otherwise when the dinner crowd rushes in without a proper system, there will be heated arguments and quarrels.
There was an uncle who came all the way from Yishun with his wife for their promfet steamboat. He and his wife were in front of us while we were queuing for a table. Regular patron! He says this is one of the best in Singapore!
I chatted with the lady boss, they are in the business at this same location for 43years! This is their flagship store! Heard that they have many other branches in other parts of Singapore too.
We ordered red garouper fishhead steamboat. Very nice rich soup base, fresh fish, thick fleshy cut 🌟🌟🌟. Their side dishes, prawn paste chicken & sambal potato leaves were also really good.
Can try if you are in the vicinity if you don’t mind spending some time standing...
Read moreVERY VERY BAD Service.
First time patronise this place. Told the staff (drinks stall lady) we got how many pax. She say can sit at a certain table. No one gave us the menu or anything.
We ordered food and drinks from the older auntie (she didn’t take a notepad and write down). We ordered 1x lemon tea, 2x calamansi+sour plum(this drink nice), 1x water chestnut. Then when the drinks arrived, we noticed the order was wrong (2x lemon tea and 1x calamansi instead). We told the drinks stall lady the order is wrong and she say “I don’t know leh, the old auntie told me this”. We asked if can change and she blatantly told us “NO, cannot”.
We need the staff to help refill the soup. Kept asking them to refill. Kept saying ok. KEPT FORGETTING and we waited for super long. At one point we asked the old aunty and she told us, you ownself go kitchen take so we really go in and take lor. Behind our backs, she mumbled “cannot wait meh”. If it is their culture for us customer to service ourselves, it’s totally fine. Who gave them the rights to be sarcastic and rude. We weren’t rude to them at all and this is the low grade service we are receiving?
Their food isn’t very pricey and tbh it wasn’t as good as everyone was saying. If this is the kind of service we are getting then even if their food is super good, there’s no point in...
