For our first dinner in Singapore, we chose to dine at the in-house restaurant of Park Regis hotel, the Tung Lok seafood which we found out to be a large restaurant chain in the city.
Since the a la carte deluxe seafood buffet appeared too good to be true, we decided to delve into it. For this package we got the following dishes: Seafood platter; snow crab leg, live prawn, fresh scallop, salad with black fish roe One each raw oyster and steamed oyster with garlic sauce Tung Lok chili crab meat with fried bun Shark’s fin with fish maw soup One each of pan-fried beef cubes with black pepper and pan-fried Spanish Iberico And as part of the package we can order as many times from the Chinese delicacy section and Japanese cuisine. But we were unable to do that since we were completely pleased with the first five dishes that were served to us. We then just concluded our dinner with chilled herbal jelly with honey and chilled coconut jelly with osmanthus flower, a light and not overly sweet dessert.
Overall we were completely impressed and delighted with our first night's dinner in the city. The dishes came in a timely fashion, our server is super helpful and always around when we needed something. It was one of my favorite dinners...
Read moreWe are Tunglok loyal customers at many different outlets and we have been here at Regis Park for a few times. Most of the seafood served are fresh and delicious except today we ordered two fish filets( 鲈鱼件$18.90/pcs), when it was served, we can smell the " fishy" smell before we consume, and truely after we tried a bit, it tasted unfresh and tasteless, we feedback immediately and a female manager(with black jacket)who is plump and with short hair attend to our feedback, when we told her that the fish is not fresh, she respond "no other customer said that leh! ", after that she brought the two plates of fish to the kitchen and came back to us a while later and said: " my chef said there is nothing wrong with the fish but nvm we can exchange for you" . Her response and body language made us feel louzy and disappointed and showed how unprofessional she is! (She trust her chef more than customer's feedback) Nevertheless, we still want to praise another male manager, Mr Adam Zheng, for his sincere and excellent service , we want to give our compliments to him, TungLok should employ more front line service staffs like Mr Adam Zheng. Today the four stars are given to Mr Adam Zheng and one star gone because of the plump female manager's...
Read moreWent for Birthday celebration at the restaurant and was served by this superb Restaurant Manager, Reiko. Very professional, detail and cheerful lady. Aircon not working well and she offered to add a tower fan beside our table. Service is tip top and attentive, when you need something, there is always a waiter nearby, an eye contact and they will come over. Water glass is always topped up and once your plates is with shells, they will change before it overflow. We had the duluxe buffet, ALL the 1 time serving is delicious. No wonder its limited to 1 time serving only or we can have it repeatedly till our stomach burst. The sashimi quality is top grade. Fresh and very high quality fishes and seafood. The only minus point is their greens, veg is old and the veg sauce is either tasteless or too salty. Both green veg we have it reject n return to kitchen. The rest of the food have no complaint, definitely worth the money. They even made an effort to decorate the peach bun served with our cake. The manager, Reiko, eve sang the birthday song with us. Its a joyful evening and Reiko made our day better. Thank you tung lok...
