Look no further! I am in love with this beautiful brunch spot I discovered today in Singapore! A must place to go when you are here ✨ You can combine it with a hike afterwards as it’s located in the middle of the forest 🌴 next to the Henderson Waves. #brunch #singapore #sgtiktok

I am glad I chose here to celebrate my companion's birthday. We had a great time there. Though the location is at the hill top, the cafe is packed with people, so I would suggest making a reservation before visiting. Firstly, the food is delicious, we ordered wagyu bolognese and chicken katsu waffles. The bolognese sauce is flavourful and matches well with the texture of pasta noodles. Though I can't really tell if it is wagyu or not since it was already minced when served to us. The chicken katsu waffles are a must try, the chicken katsu is juicy and thick. The waffles tasted so good, the batter they used seemed to be pretty decent quality as the waffles felt smooth and could taste a tinge of sweetness. The curly fries that came along tasted good too, it is well salted. Secondly, we ordered a total of 4 drinks - 2 smoothies + 2 mocktails. The avocado smoothie tasted like soft serve, I quite like it, the other is apple mint smoothie iirc, they used green apple which is slightly on the sour side (as expected) but I couldn't taste the mint. I do think the mocktails are nice but I think I prefer the smoothies more. Thirdly, the serving crew are very attentive and seem very friendly. It boosts the experience there greatly. I felt relaxed in that environment and my companion seems to enjoy herself too. She even commented that the server that was attending to us was very cute, she was smiling sweetly the whole time. I would like to visit again next time during another special occasion, I heard good reviews on the softshell crab chilli pasta, the deluxe breakfast and the pizza. Hope I get to try on them on my next visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wildseed Cafe, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and courtesy by the attentive staff. The ambiance was cozy, with a charming rustic decor that added to the overall inviting atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Wildseed Cafe is a culinary delight. Each dish was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. I started with their signature soft shell crab pasta, which was a perfect blend of chilly crab sauce and crunchy soft crab, topped with fresh herbs and spices. For the shared course, I opted for their seafood pizza, and it was a true standout. Cooked to perfection, the cheese was cheezy and stretchy , accompanied by a medley of roasted crust that were simply delectable. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite. What truly set Wildseed Cafe apart, however, was the impeccable service. The staff was knowledgeable, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were attentive without being intrusive, striking that perfect balance. In conclusion, Wildseed Cafe is a hidden gem for food enthusiasts seeking a delightful dining experience. The splendid food and top-notch service make it a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu offerings

Visited here to celebrate a dogs birthday party lunch with fellow dog owners and dogs. Place was very picturesque and quaint, and very Bridgerton vibes. There is outdoor and indoor seating, where indoors is very cooling. The outdoors however is REALLY hot in Singapore weather. I don’t know how people without dogs are choosing to sit outside ?? There are grass lawns and a little fence for your dogs to be unleashed and play in by the fountain, however the dogs figured out how to jump out of the fence by going through the fountain area since it was not fenced up at the fountain. There is only one BIG fan outside, and so everyone crowded around the fan area. Sadly it was not blowing towards the lawn area so our dogs got really hot especially in the midday sun while playing at the fence area. Would suggest the restaurant put two to three fans or cooling kinds of fans to cover most areas especially if there are PEOPLE and DOGS around the outdoor eating/lawn area. Half the long table could get the fan but the other half could not, so it was pretty humid and hot. There also should be a bin for owners to dispose of dog poop quickly near the fountain/dog fence area so owners do not need to walk all the way to the smoking area to dispose of the poop bags in the bins there. Water is luckily provided for the dogs in small bowls, however would wish the staff could have been more attentive in filling them up and more so, using ICE water to fill up the bowls during HOT periods such as Singapore summer afternoons in the earlier part of the year because dogs are prone to overheating and heatstroke VERY easily and this can cause sudden death which of course is a very valid worry all us dog owners have and we hope the team can have a little more empathy and care for our dogs when we bring them out to enjoy pet friendly cafes/establishments. Nevertheless we still filled up the bowls with ice water from our tables when they got empty. Also wished the staff would have been more attentive and dilligent in providing ice water for our table as it took really long to be refilled and as I said it was such a hot day I couldn’t really enjoy myself in such a beautiful location. Food wise the wagyu burger was nice, mine was slightly over medium but overall taste was alright and portion was big. Mushroom soup was creamy and fragrant and a nice touch to the meal. Lime juice was refreshing but due to the heat it melted so fast (even in front of the fan ) I couldn’t enjoy it well. Though the place is beautiful, it is completely not wheelchair accessible at all ? You have to climb up stairs to reach the top where the cafe is at. It is pretty hard if you want to bring your elderly family members there who have a hard time walking, or if you are bringing dogs in a pram you need to carry the pram up yourself and walk your dogs up while you’re at it. My friends saw a lady with a pram and two dogs who had no idea how she was going to go up and a friend went to help her carry the pram up. How like that if we weren’t there to help her ? But I also understand it is an old building and probably can’t be helped/ maybe we are unaware of the wheelchair entrance if there already is one. Hopefully there can be some sort of solution in the future to this ! I would visit again but would probably not bring my dog there and opt for indoor seating instead which would probably be far more pleasant and enjoyable.

This will be my first and last time visiting Wildseed cafe at Alkaff Mansion! The service and food are bad! We were told to order via QR code and when we had difficulty making the order, we asked for help. The person who came by (who looked like the manager as she was not in the black uniform that the rest were in), was not at all helpful. Instead of offering to guide us through, she looked at the page on my phone and chided that I did not select the item and hence could not get to the next step. When we encountered another difficulty and asked for her help again, she was unwelcoming and made us feel like we were a “nuisance” for bothering her. Their app is really not user friendly!!! While we were still eating our appetiser, she served us our main dish which was the Angus beef with mash. Who serves the main dish in the middle of the appetiser? By the time we started on the main dish, the beef was cold, not to mention it was chewy and rather dry! The only saving grace was the dessert(carrot cake) which 2 other waitresses had served us with a candle and a birthday signage as my friend had told them it was my birthday. They also sang me the birthday song. We had ordered another dessert (pana cotta cake) which they forgot to serve but agreed to take it off the bill. It is such a let down that the service and food did not live up to the beauty and glory of this historical mansion. The management should revamp their ordering app and spend time training the staff!

It’s not usual for a venue to leave more of a lasting impression than the food, but that was the case for me on my visit to cafe Alkaff mansion. The mansion is historically well known and has been immaculately restored/modernised to make it feel like you are somewhere special. The outdoor courtyard, in all its flowering glory, is as instaworthy as the old world charm of the bar inside. The food in the cafe wasn’t quite able to live up to the grandeur of the venue, as it only really matched the standards you’d find in any modern hipster cafe. The seafood vongole was nice, but unspectacular, the pasta was cooked well and clams were adequate, but the sauce could have been a little more flavourful. The pork sandwich was also nice without touching the heights of greatness. There were adequate sauces lathered on it to give it a good taste and the bread was crispy, the veg inside was a little dry and didn’t particularly add to the flavour. The side of chips also felt a little thrown in at the last minute and didn’t really add any interesting flavour to the meal. The service was also a little too casual as there wasn’t much effort put into keeping an eye on our table and the food in our group came out in stages allowing some of us to finish our lunch before the last meal had arrived. All in all, the lunch was pleasant and the venue definitely played its part in making it a nice afternoon, it just would have been nice for the food and service to match.
