Schoppa is a nicely stylized place surrounded by trees. Interior is very cozy and visually pleasing. Food is simply amazing. I had opportunity to taste few of them and each one stood up to expectation and I enjoyed it very much. The two downsides on the menu are beer and coffee. There is little to none selection of beer. I understood they are more focused on wine, but with even one beer on the menu it doesn't have to be eurobeer nowadays. As for coffee, I liked the wide selection of coffee styles, but the final product was not up to my taste. The coffee itself was rather indistinct. In cappuccino, I had trouble even recognize the taste. And foam wasn't very smooth, the texture wasn't right. Does it mean Schoppa is a bad place? Absolutely not. If your want to enjoy atmosphere, meal or wine (presumably), go there and have a good time. It's just not a go to place for coffee or beer.

This location is beautiful and tucked away through a windy forest road. I adored the location, and a traditional Slovak meal was exactly what I needed as my farewell from my home away from home. The service was acceptable, no frills, but sometimes that is exactly what you want. The food was perfect! I had the seasonal goulash with local game as the protein and a cucumber salad. The balance was just right for a hearty and fresh meal. My wife had Bryndzové halušky and plum dumplings as a dessert. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bread and Oškvarková nátierka that came with the meal. It was addictive and I would have purchased it by the gallon.

I have visited this restaurant, let's say 50 to 60 times. Never have I posted so objective review on Google Maps, because Ive tried nearly every single meal from the menu. And with confidence I can proclaim that no matter what dish you choose, whatever fancy you, you will not leave unsatisfied. It's a cosy place, where you can spend a nice romantic dinner or some business lunch with your colleagues. My only complaints are a bit higher prices compared to other similar restaurants in Bratislava and I would also appreciate a slight menu remake, other than that it's great. Ďakujem, skutočne vynikajúce jedlo aj kávička 🙂

This place is an awful sight, The Slovak food here isn't right, The waitresses are so very mean, It's like dining in a bad dream!

The food's bland and tasteless too, You'd be better off eating glue, The waitresses are so rude and snide, It's like they want you to leave and hide!

Avoid Schoppa, don't take a chance, And maybe you won't regret the dance, It's not worth your time or money, You'll find better food with less hassle, honey!

Had a business lunch there and the disappointment is simply too great to ignore. I normally do not write bad reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences in Bratislava...I am Slovak and their version of halusky is NOT ACCEPTABLE to any native SLOVAK...

Hopefully they can and...

Generally a cosy place, waiters ok, not overly caring but ok. Saturday late lunch time, we waited 40 min for the food and the food was subpar versus the price. We paid 45 eur for 2 kid meals and 2 main dishes, one coke. Pork knuckle tough, not tasty, wings ok but really really unimpressive as much as the chicken schnitzel. Halusky were better than the rest. Disappointed, as we wanted to treat ourselves to some unhealthy food. It is not that anyone did anything wrong, just the overall level of the food is far below standard what you find in bratislava nowadays in any walk-in bistro or restaurant. Improve your cooking and it will be fine place in a...
