The restaurant is situated in a relatively new building. A typical Slovak habit is, no one welcomes you when entering the restaurant. So you need to find a place on your own. At our arrival the restaurant was open just shortly. So there were enough tables to choose from, approx 4 people were already there. The restaurant is bright with glass walls to the outside and large massive wooden tables made of tree trunks with wooden banks to sit on. The cabbage sup was served quickly and was good. Some extra points could have been deserved, by bringing a bit of sour cream. Also champions are not to be expected in the cabbage soup, I was rather looking for mushrooms. After we finished with the soup, few guests came in and started to smoke. At that point we realized that we are in a smoking area with a child. No one informed us about that fact. So I started to look for non-smoking area. It was a dark place with office like tables and chairs, no windows. So we decided to sit far away from other guests, and not eating in a conference room. I also think, that is against law, to have a restaurant organized like this (you need to enter the smoking zone no matter what). Awful! The main dish was pork tenderloin medallions with mushrooms and potato chips, then chicken brest fillets filled with spinach and feta cheese with grilled vegetables, then a child menu chicken nuggets with fries and ketchup. Afer 35 minutes the food finally arrived. It sais in the menu, that it will take up to 40 minutes, but there were no guests. So I expect, it took so long, not because of the preparation, just because they can. The medallions were overdone, so dry and hard. I also suspect the meat was taken from the edge of the tenderloin. All three components of the meal had different temperature. The shrooms were cold, yet very tasty. Meat was warm, but not warm enough and the chips were hot. The chicken was ok, meat had a good consistency, however the feta was not to be tasted at all. The nuggets were made from pieces of meat, not mixed meat. At this point we had to order the ketchup second time. After another 5 minutes we had to order it for the third time to finally receive it at the bar. The children's serving was quite big for that low price. The waitress was friendly with a smile on, but you knew, not a real professional. So before next visit I expect some improvements even if they would cause price incerase, because the prices are low. The low price is the 3rd star...
Read moreService could definitely be better. Starting with the sexist comments from the waiter (“even women drink this type of beer”) to telling the company of ten people to be quiet in quite impolite manner although the music was deafening and there weren’t any other customers on our corner. It’s just a simple pub and nothing like a fancy restaurant.
The assortment of drinks is quite scarce. Few types of beer, limited cocktail card. When you ask for some additions to your beverage they’ll bring it in a separate glass for you to mix it....
Read moreRibs were tasty and the beer is fine, but that's it. They forgot to bring bread with my meal and the service was almost non-existent. It took about 15 min for somebody to take our first order, and after we started eating, nobody showed up for over an HOUR despite a new person joining us and wanting to order. They obviously looked away when we tried to catch their attention, but when we stood up in resignation to leave and pay at the bar, suddenly the waitress had the bill ready...
