Nestled in the jaw-dropping valley of Trenta, where emerald rivers carve their way through the Julian Alps and every breath feels like it should be bottled and sold as “pure nature,” stands Trenta Spageterija & Pizzerija. The view? Nothing short of cinematic. You could sit here for hours watching the sun paint the mountain peaks in gold, and for a moment, you’d believe this is paradise.
And then the food arrives.
It’s… fine. Modest portions, modest taste, modest ambition – the kind of meal that doesn’t offend but doesn’t inspire, and somehow still manages to cost as much as dinner in Luxembourg. One can almost hear the echo of your wallet sighing in the background.

Pizza was not available at the time, so we’ve had vegetarian burgers full of oil and chicken breasts, probably everything out of freezer. Two of us had stomach issues for two days… the quality was not okay for the price. I do not want to be mean. It is just a shame that in the middle of a beautiful mountains they make a pizzeria&spaghetteria (with only few variants) and other creations with shrimps and fishes from a far Atlantic instead of a traditional quality cuisine with local wares. The place is...
