Very large portions, but still good food. The service was great, the server understood both conversations in Italian, and also English, and he provided useful insight on what to order. The food was somewhat greasy, but that was the least of our concerns, the greatest was finishing the immense food portions we had ordered. The location just along the border is very efficient for weary travelers coming from Venice after red-eye flights, and those who do not fit that description. If it helps, I will follow this review up with a somewhat terrible Italian translation (it is not my first language.) The wait was not long, the food quite affordable, although we ate the year the Euro dipped, so it was more affordable then, perhaps it still is now, I have no idea. But regardless, the food is large, but very good, the service is fast, and the price reasonable (to the best of my knowledge).

Simple food, such as wiener escalope, but done properly - very tender and fried just the right amount. No stomachache, great flavors, nice salad mix, plenty of beer selection. By default it should be french fries as a side dish, but they gladly switched it for roasted potatoes as I asked for it. Service was also truly pleasant, which became a rarity in Slovenia. We could ask for recommendations, info about the surroundings etc. Even the staff spoke to us about our trip to river Natisone (Nadiža), yet there was no delay in getting served or anything. Truly lovely experience....

Delicious and appetizing meals in a casual dining environment. Visited in October 2021 during a week day. We ordered the salad Royale, cevapcici with side of fries, gnocchi with lamb ragout, and the Chef's lamb with polenta. From the reviews it looks like the restaurant is still making a lot of bellies happy so I highly recommend a visit for anyone in Italy vacationing in that area. Bringing our dachshund inside...
