The rooms are spacious and boast a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. While the location in Gozd Martuljek is picturesque, it suffers from a lack of winter sunshine, with rays only managing to peek through for a fleeting moment due to the towering peaks nearby. For those seeking more sunlight, a short trip to Kranjska Gora is highly recommended. Our check-in experience was delightful, with the receptionist providing a warm and efficient welcome. However, breakfast left much to be desired. The selection was limited, and while fresh orange juice was available, it came at an additional cost. The bread, unfortunately, appeared underbaked, almost raw. Three egg dishes—omelette, fried eggs, and scrambled eggs—were on offer, each with optional add-ons. Yet, the portions of these additions were meager at best. A sprinkle of bacon or a hint of vegetables is hardly sufficient to meet expectations, especially for a 4-star establishment. Oddly enough, the only ingredient served generously was raw onions. The concept of an open kitchen, allowing diners to observe the preparation of their meals, was intriguing. However, this was marred by a lack of professionalism from the staff, whose candid conversations about guests, workplace grievances, and personal matters were clearly audible throughout breakfast. Slovenian guests, like ourselves, were barely acknowledged upon arrival at the dining area, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere, whereas foreign guests were greeted warmly and seated with enthusiasm. Such disparities in hospitality are disheartening and unbefitting of a property with this rating. The New Year’s Eve dinner featured an eight-course menu, which, regrettably, was nothing special. The dishes lacked depth of flavor, and the overall execution fell far short of expectations. Adding to our disappointment, the chef was visibly engrossed in his phone for the majority of the evening, casting doubt on his involvement in the preparation of the meal. Given the €160 per person price tag, we anticipated not only culinary finesse but also a celebratory ambiance befitting the occasion. The live music, while a thoughtful touch, further dampened the mood when the singer performed Stairway to Heaven moments before midnight—an odd and somber choice for such a festive evening. Meanwhile, the staff’s handling of sparkling wine was puzzling, as glasses were poured at a nearby table, leading us to believe they were meant for us. At the very least, offering guests a glass of sparkling wine before midnight, even at an additional cost, would have been a fitting gesture. By the time dinner concluded, we felt a sense of relief, retreating to our room to watch the countdown to midnight on television—a subdued end to what should have been a memorable...

This restaurant was our preferred dining establishment for an extended period. We consistently made significant financial investments and consistently provided substantial gratuities. However, upon the introduction of a new staff member, an atmosphere of arrogance became excessively prevalent. We strongly advise against adopting this approach. In our opinion, this restaurant is no longer suitable for our patronage.

Added after reply ————————— The response from the restaurant suggests that we did not respect its policy. However, I would like to clarify a few important points.

First of all, we have dined numerous times in the area described in the reply as “intended for drinks and light snacks,” and we were often directed there by the staff themselves. On our last visit, we booked a table for lunch for seven people by phone, as usual. When we arrived, the outside area of the restaurant was completely empty. We waited for some time, and when no waiter appeared, we selected a table with the most breeze — the weather was extremely hot, and we had two small children with us.

After another extended wait, my wife went inside to find someone. When a waiter finally came out, he addressed us with notable arrogance and completely disregarded my questions, showing no interest in hearing our explanation for choosing a breezy table rather than one pressed against the wall.

To reiterate: the outside dining area was entirely empty.

In conclusion, it is unfortunate that such a wonderful hotel in a magnificent location, with excellent cuisine and breathtaking views, would employ someone whose attitude does not reflect the establishment’s otherwise...

There is nothing this place can’t do! Initially I booked this place for my wife and I because of the awesome Mountain View and overall good reviews. I got a room with a Mountain View. What I wasn’t expecting - was everything else. The details: LAUNDRY: As Americans who are packing light, we are carry-on only and this place is one of the few high end hotels that does laundry at a reasonable price, instead of on a per garment basis. Our laundry came back folded the next day and I honestly could not be more appreciative of the staff making that happen on a 1-night stay. FOOD: We came in a bit later than expected from Bled and just decided to eat lunch with them, expecting to get a cold sandwich or something simple, I was delighted to have a 3-course meal with perfectly cooked octopus as a cold starter, sea bass with crispy skin and a beautiful Panna Cotta dessert. For dinner that night, I had the 5-course menu (£65) and had the pairing with it to experience the Slovenian wines. WOW! I was truly blown away by Matag (Slovenian Matthew) and his exceptional service, attention to detail, and his exceptional English. Breakfast was beautiful on their outdoor patio with over easy eggs (fried eggs) made fresh, beautiful fluffy pancakes and exceptional coffee and fresh juice / tea. Summary: I came for the views, yet I think the staff and experience at the hotel somehow managed to exceed that. And if you see my picture of the view… you’ll understand how impressive that is to accomplish. To all of the staff of the Triangel: thank you for making the most exceptional experience in the Julian Alps.

Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, good service, but unfortunately we had many "but". We had apartment for 1 night. First of all nowhere in the booking description is written there will be extra 100€ charge for cleaning, very unpleasant surprise while you check out. Should be on description while booking! Second: very very noisy street by the hotel and we wanted to close the windows and turn on condition to make the noise less but conditioner wasn't working! It was around 22 when we found out that and no one could help us with this problem, reception was closed. Third: lights from that street are very bright and the curtains don't block light from street lights at all. So we had a really bad sleep. Also would be very helpful if there were information in the room about breakfast, spa, reception and etc. working hours and prices. And I wish apartment had coffee machine with capsules and tea. I repeat that hotel is very modern and beautiful and stuff are very helpful and nice but particular our room had problems. If you decided to stay in that hotel just make sure that windows of the bedroom are facing other side of the road! There many places to see around. They are truly spectacular! Walking distance from the hotel waterfalls and also special track for bicycles. You can rent bicycles in the hotel.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains – An Unforgettable Experience From the moment we arrived at this boutique hotel, we were completely enchanted. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the property offers breathtaking panoramic views that truly have to be seen to be believed. Waking up to the sight of mist rolling over the peaks, with the sun slowly casting golden light across the landscape, was nothing short of magical. The charm of the hotel extends well beyond its location. Every detail, from the thoughtfully designed interiors to the warm, personalized service, reflects a genuine dedication to hospitality. The staff were not just attentive—they were intuitive, kind, and clearly passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience. It felt less like a hotel and more like a home curated by people who truly care. And the food—what a revelation! Each meal was a celebration of local flavors, crafted with evident care and creativity….all the while sitting outside enjoying the mesmerizing view! It’s rare to find a place that blends natural beauty, comfort, and hospitality so seamlessly. This hotel is one of those rare places that leaves you not only refreshed, but also inspired. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories—and we’re already planning our return!
