Sidro — Restaurant in Maribor

We went here with a larger group and on the previous visit,when I went,I liked it a lot so we decided to go again. Granted,when we came there there was no electricity because of the weather,but this was no excuse for the poor performance of services we received and we will definitely not be returning here. First it took them extremely long to even get to us and give us menus (not dependant on electricity), then we,as a larger group of adults (no families and no children) were suggested to order 2 family pizzas (?!),which we declined and we went for separate orders. Thankfully electricity returned and we were able to order what we wanted outside of pizzas. The drink orders we received were wrong. The jokes from the bartender were in croatian and not in good taste. It took them really long to even put out the orders for the food for the first time and the bartended came and checked again what were the orders. In spite of that,they managed to mess up the orders. In addition to that they forgot to serve one of us and did not even notice. When we told them that they forgot an order,they managed to reorder the missing food only to bring out a wrong order again. To sum um,the atmosphere and location is nice but the really bad service with the wrong attitude convinced us...

We ordered two meals and a soup for our child. They brought a burger for my wife, and after 40 minutes, they finally realized they completely forgot to bring my pizza. It looked like the pizza had been cooked once, then left aside, and when they realized their mistake, they probably just threw it back in the oven. You could clearly see that—the cheese on the edges was nearly burned, while the cheese in the middle was still raw.

We had specifically asked for only one type of mushroom (champignons) on the Fungi pizza, since the menu says it comes with a mix. The waitress seemed confused and said they only use champignons. But the pizza came with multiple kinds of mushrooms, plus there were pieces of onion thrown on top.

We also asked for beef salami as an extra topping, and instead they used some random pork salami. Not only was the food wrong and late, but the waitress was unfriendly, clearly annoyed, and never once apologized even though she knew what was going on.

In the end, I still paid the bill—but the only good feeling was walking out the door. If you don’t care about people and don’t enjoy the job, don’t work with guests. It’s not animals you’re serving—it’s...

On 21.11.2023. - we had dinner in this restaurant. We are not citizens of Slovenia but business people and we officially came to Maribor.

It was in this restaurant that we were supposed to have our main meeting. The middle-aged waiter, wearing glasses, when he heard that we don't speak Slovenian, became so rude that we became uncomfortable.

He literally threw the menus on the table, then very rudely asked whether we have decided what to eat yet.

In short, he ruined our whole dinner and business meeting. We left disappointed and humiliated by the waiter who treated us awfully, just because we speak another language.

In the coming period, our work will be related to this region.

We will never come here again, and we will recommend all our business partners to avoid this restaurant so they don't experience the same...
