Our favourite place and favourite people in Slovenia! We visited the first time 2 years ago when the wine dinner was fully booked at Saksida. We found Vina Lisjak as an alternative but we never looked back and ate here every night and even came back to Slovenia just to visit Peter again. The food is incredible, most of it homemade or grown, they have a standard but amazing menu. If you come more often they will make some other amazing dishes for you. And last but not least, his wine! Officially the first Sauvignon we ever loved and so much flavour.
The car was full that's why we could only take a few wines back but the year after we brought our new camper bus! I would highly recommend this place! Sit down, relax and let everything surprise you. Sometimes it's good not having to choose anything! Be sure to visit the winery!
Peter is an amazing host with a funny and kind personality. I managed to fix a few things at the restaurant (pin machine and the window broken by storm) and his gratitude was felt by a big headache the next day XD We love this place and cannot recommend it enough.

What an experience! We are staying at the Saksida camping, but our intuition said not to have the refined but expensive meal and wine tasting there, but go to the Vina Lisjak, a family run restaurant and vineyard. We made a reservation, and we are so glad we did. The owner and the waitresses made us feel very welcome. The food was superb. All home made, and that we tasted. The meat, the cheese, the bread, made in the farm. Mmmmmmm And of course the wine. We had a short tour in the wine cellar. In a very personal approach. The owner is a hard working man with great passion. And oh so friendly.
We recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, honest meal, great wine and who respects the Slovenian entity, and likes a family atmosphere.

Lieve camping mensen, zorg ervoor dat je in iedergeval hier een avondje lokaal komt eten!
Great family runned restaurant from which all products are or from their farm or out of the area. Dad on the fields, one son being the master chef in the kitchen and the other son the mastermind behind the wines and explanations.
We had an amazing time and the 4 course menu with wines was one of the best meals we had during our holiday.
As it was a quiet evening the owner was able to explain us a lot about their business. I loved to see the passion they have for there wines, food & country. We even got invited to the winecellar to taste some of the unfinished wines to compare them with the finished ones we had during dinner.
