Restaurant Šobec — Restaurant in Radovljica

We had just set up our camper and were hungry so we went to the restaurant. After some coordination troubles we got our table. My wife and daughter opted for the octopus platter for two for 56 eur. I went for the cevapcici for 22 eur. Not cheap, but hey we are on holiday, right? The cevapi arrived and we were anxious for the octopus to arrive and arrive it did. With a splash. The waiter dropped it right beside my daughter missing her by cms. Shouldn’t but can happen. The waiter apologized and said he was sorry but that had been the last and we should choose something else while they busied themselves with removing the octopus platter from the floor. Then all of a sudden the headwaiter appeared and said that they had miraculously found another serving of octopus and it would be ready in 15 mins. Well… sometimes you want to be deceived, right? The octopus platter came 15 mins later and it did taste delicious. However after sleeping over it I have my doubts. All in all the restaurant tries to be top notch but the training of staff and the organisation is not. Prices are. Guess we we’ll revert to taking out pizzas, which we can, on the other hand, recommend.(if you have time) worked flawlessly twice. In the final evening it took more than 40 mins for two pizze....

We ate there 2 times. The first meals were fine, but the pizza on the second day? The real life nightmare! They told us we need to wait for an hour and we agreed. When we came back after an hour, they asked for 8 more minutes. We waited another half an hour and then they brought something that supposed to be our 4 pizzas.

The pizzas didn't contain the ingredients that were written in the menu, I couldn't recognize even the pizza that I ordered. The waitress apologised and said she understands our frustration, but the pizza guy is there probably for the first time and has no clue what he's doing. She said they can make new pizzas, but that would take another hour and half. It was already 21:30 so we took the pizzas we got from them.

They were disgusting, some of the ingredients were still raw. My friend got food poisoning and ended in the local ambulance during the night. He got 2 transfusions and some antibiotics so it was no joke. I told the receptionist about it the next day when we were leaving. Her reaction was: "Otherwise, did you like your stay here?" What a fckin joke! STAY AWAY FROM THE RESTAURANT if you don't want to end up in a hospital.

Very disappointed with the service. A friend and I stopped by for a drink and were told we couldn’t be served because we weren’t ordering food—even though several other tables were clearly just having drinks. The waiter told us they were expecting a full restaurant and needed the tables for “more important” guests. Strangely, he then said he could seat us only inside, not outside, which completely contradicted his earlier excuse. It felt like we were being selectively turned away, and the attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming. Would not return or recommend based on...
