As part of an international project, a group of 24 of us stayed in Slovenj Gradec for six days. During this time, our lunches and dinners were organized at Stara Pošta. Already in the preparation phase, we coordinated with them to create a menu that was a thoughtful combination of their regular offerings and some of our special requests.
The quality of the food was consistently outstanding – the meals were delicious and carefully prepared. We were particularly impressed by the variety of dishes – every day brought something new, balanced, and interesting, which is especially important for such a large and international group.
We would also like to highlight the excellent service. The staff was extremely friendly, always smiling, and quick to respond to individual needs and preferences – and there were quite a few! They handled everything with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to help.
And let’s not forget – their cakes are simply amazing!
To sum it up: top-quality food, a diverse and well-adapted menu, exceptionally kind staff, and an all-around excellent experience. Thank you to the entire team at Stara Pošta! The next time we visit this beautiful town, we’ll definitely be coming...

V lokal sva prišla 13.00. Natakarica pride do naju ob 13.10 (lokal je bil poln gostov), kar jemljem za normalno. 13.10 naročila hrano in pijačo takoj vprašava kako dolgo bova čakala na hrano. Natakarica nama odgovori da 45 minut, ker je je gneča. Ob 13.35 pristopom do šanka in vprašam, če lahko dobim pijačo, ki sva jo naročila. Obe me začudeno pogledata in me vprašata kaj sem sploh naročil🙄. Ob 14.00 nagovoril natakarico naj preveri kdaj bo hrana, ki sem jo naročil 45 minut prej. Gre v kuhinjo in mi pove, da bo čez 10 minut in doda, da sem hrano naročil 13.27.🤯. 14.17 hrane še ni bilo na vidiku, kljub temu da so hrano dobili že nekateri, ki so prišli v lokal za nami!! Natakarica se je zagovarjala, da imajo zastoj v kuhinji in da ona ni kriva za nastalo situacijo in naj se pritožim lastniku, ki je tukaj.
P.s.: lastnik lokala je bil res prisoten v lokalu, vendar se mu ni zdelo, da bi se prišel opravičit za nastalo situacijo. Naj povem, da so v tem času zaradi predolgega čakanja od dveh miz že odšli drugam. Končno ob 14.22 pristopiva do šanka plačava pijačo in oddideva do soseda na kebab krožnik ( naj povem, da je bil zelo okusen). Za nastalo situacijo ne krivim natakaric, kljub temu, da je bila ena zelo "freh" ampak menegment. Škoda! Pa spremenite MENI, ker je tukaj...
