The cleanliness and the speed of service could definitely be improved. Also, the food was not bad but could definitely be better. First, we noticed there was a lot of small birds just jumping on empty tables, where the food was still left on them, and they were just walking all over the tables and the food. Second, the carrier with the salt, pepper, oil and vinegar had a felt pad glued to the bottom, so the condiments could stay on it, but the felt was disgusting, it had been spilled with a very thick and dark substance. DRINKS - We ordered drinks and when they brought us the first two drinks, one glass of wine was not clean. It had lip stains on it as well as dried food bits. I asked them for a new glass, and they brought me the same glass with the same wine in it. They had just cleaned the top rim of the glass, the water was still on the rim and the food bits were still on the glass... only the lip stains were removed and I don’t even know how they did that without pouring out the wine first... (We ordered also: a Radler, a Cola, a glass of draft beer, Radenska 0.5L (sparkling water) and 0.5L of white wine (Koprska Malvazija)). !! They brought us the 0.5 L of white wine even though we didn’t order it. But we said O.K. we will drink it no problem. !! And the draft beer was uncategorized, we don’t know what beer we were drinking. FOOD - We than ordered the food. One and a half of fried chicken, two servings of potato wedges and two servings of roasted potatoes (pražen krompir). The potato wedges were not bad, but had some of the pieces with dark parts in them and those pieces were too hard to eat. The roasted potatoes were too mushy and kind of runny with pork cracklings in it. The pork cracklings were also kind of hard (but not necessarily bad). The fried chicken was good. !! But we had a lot of pieces with just the bones on the plater. Literally just fried back bones, with 0 meat on them. DESSERT – Ordered a Grmada and a serving of pancakes with chocolate. We waited and then the waitress came and asked us what we ordered because she forgot (this was after about 10-15 min of waiting). We ordered again. They brought us the Grmada after about 10-15 min, and the pancakes only after about 20-30 min of waiting... Also, the Grmada desert didn’t really look that appetizing to be honest. The end cost: 88.80 EUR. Cleanliness: 4/10 Speed of service: 6/10 Food: 8/10 Staff: 8/10

Gostilna Košir is a traditional Slovenian restaurant located in the village of Šmartno, just outside of Ljubljana. The restaurant has been in operation for over 170 years, and it is known for its delicious home-style food and friendly service. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Gostilna Košir, and I was very impressed with my experience. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, and the interior is warm and inviting. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Slovenian dishes, including goulash, schnitzel, and roast pork. I ordered the goulash, which was served with a side of bread and sour cream. The goulash was rich and flavorful, and the meat was perfectly cooked. We also order three fried chicken. I also tried the štruklji, a traditional Slovenian dish made with layers of dough and cheese. The štruklji were light and airy, and the cheese was melted and gooey. For dessert, I had the palačinke, a type of crepe filled with chocolate and whipped cream. The palačinke were thin and delicate, and the chocolate was rich and decadent. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Gostilna Košir. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a traditional Slovenian dining experience. Here are some specific things that I appreciated about my experience at Gostilna Košir: * The food was delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients. * The service was friendly and attentive. * The atmosphere was warm and inviting. * The prices were reasonable. I would definitely return to Gostilna Košir

Lovely service. Very quickly we went outside to the very pretty garden which had more than enough space and we sat down. Soon enough, a sweet pretty little black and white kitten came up to a member of our party and was rubbing itself onto his ankles. Such jealousy hath I never felt! The little darling went round each member of our group and we each had a little snuggle. The weather, however, was not on our side. It began to rain just as we ordered so we were placed inside to a lovely view of comfy chairs and sweet benches. It is not their fault that I was rather saddened at the parting with jemima (the kitty) but she seemed happy enough with the other members of the public. Our food and drink arrived incredibly quickly (a burger and chips which was very filling and nice, a salmon salad greatly appreciated and brought home in a doggy bag:), a spaghetti bolognese which was slurped happily down,a beef noodle soup which was greatly enjoyed, goats cheese and olive salad shared with all members of the family and chicken sticks and chips washed down with some non alcoholic beer!) All absolutely wonderful. The lovely waiters were very quick to come for our orders and payment. Though utterly harassed and a little stressed they all gave lively smiles. It is one hundred percent worth going. I leave now with a full but happy stomach and good memories of jemima.
