Kratochwill — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

I usually don't like to write a negative review but i can't help it, the experience was a disappointment! So the first waiter that I dealt with was pretty rude, it seems that my parents "who are foreigners visiting me in Slovenia" sat down on a reserved table, but neither of them speak Slovene they didn't know what the paper said, so when I approached the first waiter to ask if we can sit there , he was telling me in Slovene " what is written on the paper - reserved !!!" Like literally that was the first words that came out of his mouth!!! So I asked him about the table right next to it! and he said this one is ok, so we simply sat on the next one... anyways , another waiter comes by to take our order , he was a more respectful one. we ordered the pork chops which came cold !!! The fried calamari was definitely fried a while ago and has been sitting out because it was only a little warm !!! Plus the fries that were put next to the calamari were definitely the ones left at the end of a fries bag...they were small and broken in pieces!!! Still it didn't stop them.from serving it for us !!! My partner ordered a pulled pork tortilla sandwich with sweet potato fries... the fries were cold and the pulled pork was a bit chewy ... it has good flavor but it was chewy ... the atmosphere was nice in General, lots of plants around which had a nice vibe to it...but don't think I...

After a long time, we visited Kratochwill in BTC, Ljubljana. Back when we lived in Ljubljana, this used to be one of our regular spots, so we were excited to return for a late lunch.

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our memories. We ordered Thai noodles and fried calamari. I specifically asked for the flour–egg battered calamari (the way I’ve enjoyed them here countless times before), but instead received the breaded version. To make things worse, the not-so-generous portion (priced at €15 haha) came with what looked like scraps from a schnitzel, which left a poor impression of the kitchen’s attention to detail.

The noodles were fine, but nothing more.

The only saving grace was our waiter, who remained kind and patient despite handling a nearly full terrace. Thanks to him, this review isn’t 2 stars.

We came in to the restaurant and sat down at a bigger empty table in the corner (we were just two but the restaurant was almost empty either way) when the waiter came he snorted at us and ignored my question if they still serve students offer, then he proceded to be rude and was asking us if more peopls will come. If he would kindly or at least normally say if we could change to a smaller we would but the attidute was just awful. Then my boyfriend wanted to order liver but he said they dont have the anymore also with the smirk. He didnt bring the salad as i asked. And also two other ladies sat 5 min later at the same size table and were only just two but no one seemed to care about that. So the whole experince was just very poor.Boyfriend also order ice tea because his blood sugar was very low and waiter also decline that it was more like in prison.I was shocked how can this restaurant employ that...
