Bocadillos On Moffet — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

Yesterday, I was at Bocadillos for lunch with my partner. She ordered the chicken livers pasta and I ordered the burger with salad. Both our dishes, had a problem! Her pasta was sticky and clearly overdone, there were hardly ANY chicken livers, just sauce and the pasta was cold, like it had been sitting in the strainer for sometime. my burger was dry and the salad leaves were not fresh at all. The woman who served us seemed distracted, gave us dirty glasses with fingerprints and lint, and did not give my partner the right beer glass (I refuse to accept this establishment doesn't have the right ones). Another waiter kept staring at me making me feel uncomfortable. The sad thing is, I have heard so many positive reviews about Bocadillos in general, I am so disappointed my first experience turned out like this. The only thing saving this restaurant from collapse in that William Moffet Centre is it has no competition, there are no other cafe's and eateries there that people can go to after their shopping. I honestly feel if there was another restaurant, it would fall flat every time. This establishment is merely saved by and is coasting on the other Bocadillos' reputation. Went for a meal at 10:15, asked the waiter if I could please order a wrap and without letting me finish my sentence to explain I am vegan/vegetarian there was barely anything on the breakfast menu I was told no and then the waiter then proceeded to take my nieces order and walked away. It was obvious that I was not eating a meal because of this. Another waiter came to the table to deliver tea and I asked her if I could please see the manager as I would like to find out if it’s at all possible to order a wrap, 45min before lunch and was told “I’ll call my manager but he won’t allow it, he’ll say no” at this point we got up and left.

They serve great cake and have an interesting range if juices that I thoroughly enjoyed. Their waiters need to be more aware of their patrons. When we wanted to order another drink our waiter was nowhere to be found. We had to ask another waitress to process our order. We also asked for cake and the individual overseeing it didn't pass on our request and we had to ask again. Please address this. It is such a shame that his is such a nice place to enjoy a coffee date with a friend or partner but the staff are apathetic to their obligations to the customers.
