Ziggy's R&R Bar — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

My family and I visited Ziggy's today. Apart from the service from our waiter which was superb along with the food, we were disappointed with the state of the restaurant, the stock cluttering one section next to the bar opposite the toilets, bottles and crates of liquor just waiting to be snatched, the place is just not what it was. The ladies toilets were dirty, no hand soap with the dispenser just sitting on the counter, no way of drying one's hands, no dryers or paper towels, no sanitizer. Flies collecting on the windows inside the restaurant. Clutter everywhere inside, behind and on counters, even outside. Beer crates stacked. Unsightly. It really was not pleasant and unless your standards pick up and the place gets cleaned up, I doubt we will visit...

Worst food in pe and definitely not worth the money or price that they charge for a meal. My chips tasted like it was made in old oil and my friends ribs were burnt and covered up with sauce. Overall the food tasted like it was made on a primus stove and not very enjoyable. The service wasn't bad. The vibe is great, the place is great, they just need to improve the quality of the food. Even though it's a chilled vibe, a restaurant shouldn't ever slack with the quality of their food. Very disappointing and disgusted. Won't be returning.

Also the chips and peanuts and raisins on the table were stale, as if no one really cares around there to replace it or take it off the table altogether. Sometimes too chilled is not...

Very pleasant Sunday afternoon spent at Ziggy's. We opted for light snacks to nibble on with our cappuccino and Coffee milkshake. Very tasty and filling.

Service was good and we waited an acceptable amount of time to be served. Friendly staff. Beautiful view of the ocean.

The only down side was that it was quite windy despite being hot and we had to had to hold on tight to our menus.

Obviously, they have mostly sea food on their menu, but there are options for vegetarians (including veggie burger). I saw nothing for vegetarians on their breakfast menu ( sadly still not unusual for most restaurants), but I think Ziggy's will be accommodating if asked for a vegetarian...
