Upon entering the cozy yet vibrant space, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff members, which instantly set the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and it was evident that the team at Romans Pizza takes great pride in ensuring their customers feel welcome and well-taken care of.
The ordering process was straightforward, and the staff was attentive, providing helpful recommendations when needed. I appreciated their patience and willingness to accommodate my specific preferences. Now, let's talk about the food—the heart of any pizzeria. I must say, Romans Pizza truly lives up to its reputation. The menu boasts an extensive array of mouthwatering pizza options, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. From classic favorites like Margherita and Pepperoni to creative combinations featuring unique toppings, there is something for everyone.
The pizza dough is a standout feature; it strikes a perfect balance between thin and crispy while maintaining a delightful chewiness. The toppings were fresh, and the sauces added just the right amount of zest to each bite. Additionally, the generous portion sizes ensure that even the heartiest of appetites will be satisfied.

One minor area of improvement would be the speed of service during peak hours. Although the quality of food and service remained top-notch, the wait time was slightly longer than expected. However, this could be attributed to the popularity of the establishment, and in fairness, the staff did their best to maintain efficiency under pressure.
In conclusion, my visit to Romans Pizza Takeaway in Bloemfontein was a delightful experience. The friendly service combined with the scrumptious food made it a memorable outing. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a quick, tasty, and enjoyable meal. Read moreUpdate (23 Aug'19) we have recently tried this branch of Romans again and we are sorry to say this branch is a No Go!. Again we received Romans Pizzas that were not up to standard. Again the pizzas were looking (and tasting) like something bought at the Deeghuys (not golden brown still not cooked through) Photos are still valid
I'm one of those CRAZY in love with Roman's Pizza people. and still am, hence my review. Yesterday ( 9 June 2017) I went to this particular Roman's Pizza on Melville street in the Brandwag Centre as it was on my way home ( normally my Roman's Pizza Shop is in Langenhoven Park (Checkers centre) but I decided to use this shop. Bought 2 large chicken/feta/bacon thick base pizzas. Got home and to my utter disappointment saw that the pizzas did not look the same as the Langenhoven Park Roman's Pizza Shop. This Roman's on Melville st ( Brandwag centre) crust was so white & bland it looked like it just came out of the freezer . The taste was not the same. My kids did not want it nor my wife. I had to bake it myself in the oven. I'm sorry to say I will not buy my Roman's Pizza at this shop again but will rather make use of Langenhoven Park's Roman's Pizza Shop...those people never disappointed me. Regards Roman's Pizza Lover
ps: I took some photos and posted it on Roman's...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering a large Chicken and Mayo (Feta) pizza from Romans Pizza, located next to Spar in Universitas Bloemfontein. My purchase took place today at 17:13 pm, and I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed with the entire experience.
To begin with, the pizza itself was simply horrible. The crust lacked any sort of flavor and was disappointingly dry. The toppings were sparse, and the chicken tasted bland and overcooked. The mayo and feta combination failed to elevate the taste, leaving me incredibly underwhelmed. What made matters worse was the extensive waiting period. The wait for the pizza was excruciatingly long, considering the lackluster quality of the final product. It is disheartening to spend hard-earned money on a subpar meal and then have to endure an extended wait for it.
Overall, my experience at Romans Pizza, Universitas Bloemfontein, was extremely disappointing. The pizza was far from satisfactory, and the waiting period was excessively long for what was ultimately a subpar product.
I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their food quality, service efficiency, and customer...
