Bootlegger Linton's Corner — Restaurant in Gauteng

Went for lunch here today for the first time and I must say that it was quite interesting. We ordered milkshakes and asked if it could come with the food. We got our milkshakes before the food and the waiter told us that the food would be out in a few. We still waited for quite a while for our food and it was not busy, it was quiet. When our food arrived, I found hair in my chips. Asked the waitress if they could replace the chips since there was hair in it. Another waitress came and asked us if we're alright and we told her that we're just waiting for my food. She went to the kitchen and came back with my food. I can attest that the chips were not replaced, they just removed the hair and fried the chips again. They were crispy and hot when it arrived. We never actually got to know our waiter/waitress because we got 3 of them coming to our table. We did not even get names. We didn't tip when the bill came and as we left the cafe, the waitress who came with the speedpoint said loudly "they didn't tip!" I don't think that, that would be appreciated. My wife & I ordered fish & chips takeaway & upon receiving it the smell was strong yet like oil had been reused more time than necessary. Upon eating at home my wife took 1 bite of fish & spat out notifying me to check the food, I took a small bite of fish & swallowed it. The fish tasted like it wasn't defrosted properly hence not throughly cooked & the fish looked very dark (oil?). Not long after I started experiencing minor cramps leading onto the next day. I returned to the restaurant next day to issue a complaint & the assistant I informed in restaurant went to relay the complaint to manager who was somewhere within but instead of him/her coming out to issue an apology he/she sent the same assistant to do on their behalf & offer me a drink. Purchased a large cuppucino with a peanut butter cookie.

Used my coffee voucher for the coffee and has R21 loyalty that i used toward the cookie, ended up paying additional odd R49 not sure the maths added up. Could not wait there as I had to pick up my son from school so left it.

Had a previous issue where I paid through the bootlegger app and they did not pick the payment up after I showed them the payment went through

Surely getting coffee through a app should not be that complicated.

Must say the new Barista makes very good coffee

Perhaps when the issue is sorted out Bless someone with a cup of coffee with the money I paid extra
