Casa do Campo - Boksburg has been around for a long time and we have always wanted to give them a try. No matter when you drive past it's always packed with cars, and many friends have said they loved it.

We decided to book here to celebrate my dad's birthday and see what it has to offer.

Great selection of food, and all your usual favourites. For starters we ordered the Garlic Snails, Creamy Garlic Prawns and the Chicken livers. Everything was delicious and full of flavour, we indulged properly and enjoyed their Peri peri sauce too. To drink I had the Sangria which wasnt bad, my mom had the Strawberry Daiquiri, which was a bit too sweet /syrupy and my sisters had the Tequila sunrise.

Although a bit full, we still had to have mains. No ways we passing up some meat. Our waiter Jabu told us the specials, and gave us some suggestions. So we ordered the Chicken and Prawn Curry, the Steak with Mussel sauce, Steak Eggs and Chips, The Chicken and Ribs Combo and the Rabbit Stew. The chips they make are really good topped with their Peri sauce, the steaks were tender, my chicken was finger licking and so was my ribs. The rabbit - tasted like chicken 😂 As an extra side we had to have a portion of Milho frito (it's my other love interest besides good Onion Rings) and they were fabulous. Slightly better than my other favourite Portuguese restaurant I normally get from.

Our meals were really fantastic and portions were good. Our Waiter Jabu was also on point with a good sense of humour. Added bonus he mentioned that they sell the Milho Frito unfried, so we could take a portion home and fry it ourselves.

No space for dessert, but I would definitely be back for more. It's obvious now why this place is always busy. Good simple comfort food, and a chilled...

Went to the reataurant last night as we were in the mood for some good food. Ordered a prego steak roll and a burger. Got a bone dry piece of steak on a roll, not a hint of any prego sauce. Burger same thing, bone dry burger pattie, not a hint of any sauce. Waitress hardly said 5 words to us the entire time. Best part of the restaurant is the Car Guard, so friendly and even opened the car & restaurant door for us. Maybe he should be running the restaurant.. In response to the owner. Dear Sir A dry piece of steak on a bun is not a Prego roll. No sauce on a burger is not for kids sake. You have a kiddies section on your menu. I have been in hotels, restaurants and catering companies for over 20 years and Exec Chef for most of those years.
