Seriously impressed. Been wanting to go check it out for a while and since trying to switch to organic foods. Went to the coffee shop today. Walking past the deli we were greeted with a smile. At the restaurant service was prompt. We were greeted by Johannes, who took our food and drinks order and it was delivered quickly, as we notified Johannes that my husband was in a hurry. We received great service from him throughout our lunch, which was really tasty.

After paying, hubby left and I decided to check out the store - filled to the brim with artisan food items, gluten free options, sugar free options, imported products from Greece, USA, and Thailand, and everything you need to make sushi, pizza and pasta from scratch, and some health products, lots of packaged grains and spices. They're meat is all the good stuff (free range, no antibiotics or hormones or GMOs etc) and they have a cold meats counter too.

Sidenote: I hate processed meats. My husband bought a ham and cheese sandwich and I had a taste, since he insisted. Calling it ham is a tradegy. The sandwich had Coppa Ham on (not processed ham). Oh my hat. It was absolutely the best. I even made sure to purchase some to bring home! Did I mention the ice-cream that they make in store!! And and and. They grow a lot of their fresh produce in the garden, which you overlook from the restaurant.

I probably browsed for an hour, completely fascinated by the offering. All staff I interacted with had a very good product knowledge. And if you are looking to shop less plastic, buy fresh produce from their walk in refrigerated area. Vegan products are available too, and green living cleaning products. After paying Benji and Trevor both offered to carry my box of produce to the car.

Throughout the visit, I really felt like the staff were happy and that they were well trained. Looking forward to...

On the 24th of August 2024, I dined with my cousins at this restaurant. We had a good time and left after all customers and most of the staff had left as the restaurant was already closed. Before leaving I decided to go to the bathroom and accidentally forgot my cellphone in the ladies bathroom. The staff left and the restaurant was locked while we were still at the parking. When we got home I realized that my phone was left behind at the ladies bathroom. We called the phone and it was ringing with no one answering it.

The following day early in the morning we called it again and it was still ringing. I traced it and it got traced back at the Culinary Table. It was ringing until around 10am. I drove back to Culinary Table that same morning together with one of my cousin and spoke to the staff supervisor named Lolo. We showed her the trace from my daughters phone and she also admitted that the phone is traced back at their address but no effort was done to try and find my phone. Instead we were told that their staff didn't find any phone. Culinary Table management didn't care nor bother to even speak to us or be remorseful. It was business as usual and instead we were treated as if we were criminals. Lolo promissed to call me the following Tuesday, after I was now getting upset because of the treatment we were getting from the management. To this day, no one from Culinary Table has contacted me.

I wouldn't recommend Culinary Table to anyone. Their staff is dishonest and management doesn't care, is very cold, unfriendly, unhelpful and totally disregard customer complaints. I will I take this up to every social media platform and to...

My boyfriend and I went here for a friend's birthday lunch and were very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant. You walk in through the deli to get to the restaurant. The deli is lovely with loads of fresh produce, baked breads & items you don't always find at standard grocery stores - although some of the items for people with food allergies can be found at places like dischem for cheaper.

The restaurant was a not worth it unfortunately: We were a table of 11 and 2 wrong drinks orders came in the first round. One drink never arrived and had to be reordered from that initial round. I ordered the vegan pizza. The sourdough base is tasty but there was probably a tablespoon of vegan cheese on the entire pizza and 2 tablespoons of toppings in total. So it was mostly pizza crust that I slathered with chilli sauce to make it less dry to be able to eat it. Definitely not worth R165 at all but a highly profitable dish for the restaurant considering how little they spend on toppings for it. My boyfriend had the rib Eye steak which was over cooked. His fries did look tasty though. For all the grill dishes you have to order a side separately as they don't come with anything, which works out pricey. My almond milk cappuccino arrived warm, which was unfortunately because the coffee blend they use is nice. Overall we were very disappointed as this place is marketed as a restaurant where highly qualified chefs prepare your food with great finesse. I won't be rushing back to this place and don't recommend taking anyone with dietary...

I have not been here in a while and wow have they expanded. What an epic place to come after church or just a lovely breakfast on the way to or back from the airport. The food is fantastic. It's a fun experience. You can shop in the groceries section which is honestly speaking really fun! There is such a variety and one which I've never er seem before. It's like a good chef had her hand in it. There are imported foods and preserves from Italy, Germany, Japan and more. There are artisan grains for bread baking and a lovely bulk spices selection. I was surprised to find they even have mace. Wow. I'm super impressed. I've not even mentioned the vast selection of dry aged and cured meats. It's of importance to note that they have free-range meats here. 🍖 The veggie department, fresh exotic mushrooms 🍄 and beautiful veggies with interesting preserves, its a great selection. 👍🏻 They have a garden! You can walk around in it or sit there at a table whilst you eat. Be sure to book! It's fun for kids to see the chickens, turkey's, the lovely lemon trees and plants. The restaurant. They use some of the fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden! Farm to fork is a reality here and not merely a keyword or catch phrase. It's the real deal. Only a passionate chef would be this serious about food and nutrition. We enjoyed our experience and the food was next level. The pricing is very reasonable and the menu is full of choice. I recommend this place. I'm loving it and can't wait to go again. The executive chef is a super talented lady. It's a special place.

We have been visiting the Culinary Table now for a few years and maybe had breakfast and lunches more than 15 times. As you expand it looks amazing but I would think the servers need a little more training in customer service. By the prices on your menu the servers need to match that with regard to the value proposition. The attention to detail is missing. When guests walk in, it should be the greeting that comes first rather than “have you got a booking”. The smiles are far and few between. It was 11:45 and we wanted to order and was told “ please until 12 I cannot take your order because people are busy with breakfast” maybe the server can take the order, keep it and place it at 12. We are absolutely find to have coffee etc and chill. We ordered two slices of sourdough bread with butter as we waited to place our lunch order. The two slices were ice cold and more to the burnt side. The lunch: the chicken prego had to go back since the chicken breast came cold. The R184 beef burger I had did not scream out how it was described in the menu. I must be honest the #woolies Augus patties sold in a pack of 8 for R80 can compete with this. During the meal with regard to the service no server came to check if everything is ok like most restaurants do. I had to get up to go ask for a Coke Zero. Just my review of constructive feedback for improvement because this is one of our favourite places. I have some references of many many restaurants of this level that we have dined. Thank you so much. Colin
